Yes, it is an economy burrow.
First, the price is in CAD$, second, as I also said in my post, once you add shipping, taxes and duties to Canada, the price increases exponentially. I even went and...

Weekly bump, still available.
I have two underquilts for sale. One Tigris Shield Cradle, gray color.
They have only been used on 2 trips, 2 nights each. Still in like new condition.
Items are in Gatineau, Canada, selling...
I bought these things to hold an underquilt in place. They hold surprisingly well. Just clip this to the hammock and use a guyline like the Hennessys. If you are worried about damaging the fabric...
Now if only we could get a Whoooooo Buddy!!!! flag. ;-)
To those who PM'd me or replied to this thread, I'm on my way back from a camping trip and will catch up either tonight or tomorrow morning. Sorry for the delays and thanks for your patience.

Haven't hung from it. Built a tensa stand and using that instead.
Hi all:
I have a Hennessy 4Season Explorer Zip XL for sale. Used on 2 trips, and a few nights in the backyard. It is in perfect shape, and as a bonus, has been zipper modded by Donna at 2QZQ.

Wouldn't UCRs be equal if not better? Pretty much the same "grip" system, but using less amsteel? What are the downsides of UCRs?
Gorgeous pictures!
Good idea Shug. Thanks for the link, I had somehow missed that video in my binge watch sessions of your vids!
Thanks for all your anwers. They confirm I'm an idiot ;-)
I was tying the doors together, or trying to tie them up to the 4 tie outs in the middle of the panels (2 on each side).
Using the...
Hey all. Sorry for what may seem like a dumb question. I bought a Hammock Gear Journey tarp with panels (or "doors"). I was out on a trip last week and could not figure out a way to tie them...
What Shug said. Give them a call. They've been super helpful when I had a similar issue, and guided me through weighting the items to determine if it was just a mislabel or something else. In the...
Haha, in this case, I'm afraid my wife can't be of much help. She bought this thinking she'd magically be able to sew anything effortlessly, but she gave up after a few tries. It's been sitting...
Wow, this is interesting, thanks! 17cm is quite a bit! I'll experiment with lengthening the line, it's nice to have an idea of what the limit is.
I haven't looked yet, is the ridgeline tied with...
Searching Google is one thing, I did that too. By asking fellow hammockers here I was hoping to also get an idea of their experience with the shops. "I tried this place and it took forever to get...
Has anyone here played with longer ridge lines on their HH? No matter what I do, my ridgeline is always guitar string tight, which in turn causes (I think) crazy calf ridge. This is on 2 different...
Keep in mind since the stingerz are at your tarp, you need double the length for your line. Tree at 5ft, you need 10ft of rope + whatever is required to go around the tree + wrap on the stingerz.
My wife has what she tells me is a good Janome machine. What are things to look for to determine whether it'll cut it or not?
I had the same experience as Cougarmeat. Hot, sweaty. Net very enjoyable.
I made a bunch of UCRs this weekend using his method with a loop to prevent slippage. My wife fidgets so much she always found a way to get the regular UCRs to slip!
Check out the DIY Tensahedron Stand thread. I build one for myself and one for my wife. They work impressively well and are relatively simple to build.

Sad to say, but sometimes, the hammock is the problem. I fought with calf ridge for a year with my first hammock until I decided to give a different brand a try. It has been night and day since...
Interesting idea! Thanks for sharing.
+1 for the Stingerz for the ridgeline, and Fleaz for the guy lines.
I started experimenting with the Wasps recently, as I find they don't require as much line when wrapping around a tree.
Awesome, thanks for sharing!
Nice setup! I like everyone's personal touches on these builds!
I'll admit I had "located in Canada" in mind when I posted this, but I wasn't clear.
In the end, if it still comes out cheaper when adding shipping, brokerage and all, I'm happy to order from...
Hi all:
Just curious what are your sources of 7/64 Amsteel in Canada?
I found one place, (Hofman Outdoor Gear Supply) and am happy with service and quality, but am curious if there are other...
Apologies for posting something in this thread that deviates from the recommended design. I had no intention of ruffling anyone's feathers.
Agreed! But where's the fun in that? ;-)
Finally tested mine today. Made a collapsable version, 3 pieces for each pole. 3/4 and 1" conduit. Testing with my Hennessy Leaf Lounger XL has been great, I fell asleep! Should work the same...
Would you happen to have pictures old4hats ?
Here is the info posted on the manufacturer website. There is a table at the end of the page that lists the dimensions:

I have the exact same hammock and love it! Enjoy!
Very interesting thread! I bought EMT tubing this week and will be experimenting shortly.
Stupid question. Everyone seems to be using amsteel for the pole connections. Would it be crazy to...
Nothing wrong to say about the UQ itself as far as keeping me warm. It doesn't pack down as much as I would like though so I don't really see me using it when hiking/backpacking. I'd use it without...
Stock pics as in "from the manufacturer's website", but they are from my gazebo model, which looks identical.
Not sure what is frightening about tapcons in patio stones as the goal is to prevent...
Another great suggestion! Sadly, the house, garage, and shed are bursting at the seams with "stuff" for all our hobbies. Ideally I would avoid adding something new to the pile of "It barely fits...
These were just stock pics as there's currently 2 ft of snow out there just now. The feet are "anchored" with tapcons in the patio stones, so I doubt there will be much movement there.
You raise...
Hi all:
First off, I'm not sure i'm in the right forum for this question, please redirect if there's a better place.
We have built a nice cedar gazebo last summer (a kit from Costco) and I...
