This caught my eye and curious is this an "Eye Bolt"? I'm creating a Shopping List in HomeD to purchase online and pick up...if anyone could assist me for a HomeD link to this exact bolt, would...
Was hoping to check one out first, before I make an attempt to make my own. I already have two Turtledog Stand and was hoping to take a lighter alternative for coming trip to MT.
Anyone in the Will County, Illinois that had done a DIY Tensa-Stand?
Has anyone come up with heat-reflecting tarp with this material?
in my backyard hangs with turtledog stand I often wonder if anyone ever came with solution to use this material to block the sun...
thanks Eric for those field reports.
I agree with Matthiessen being better than SR. SR is getting too dirty with parents who bring kids with their bottle water the throw them under stairs or side of trails. These people have zero...
Is there someone here that makes these UQ cheap for basement and backyard hangs? thanks

do you have that rope that long for adjustability? meaning you could roll it around the pole more to increase height?
much appreciate there.
I'll probably cut the legs to 6 feet soon, then finalize on painting primer on the wood, the Plasti-Dip the top and bottom of wood.
Still toying around the idea of placing...
just curious hows the paint holding up?
I'm thinking of painting mine too for aesthetic, protection, and hopefully prevent splinters.
thanks
anyone else leaves their stand outside, almost permanently?
if so, what measures did you use to keep it weather proofed?
thanks
Yup your Kung Fu worked well when I took it down that way.
Revelation also was that I didn't need to remove the top rail, just keep it tied together and then fold it together.
Now, need a strap...
finally killed 2hrs...3 trips to Home D...to make this Turtledog Stand.
1) Everyone is different with the rope on the bottom leg for stability and/or one rogue leg that will ruin this experience.

@orangerufus, did the pole already had holes or did you had to drill a hole to it? thanks
I'm sure this the wrong place to place this, but, I'm trying to get in touch with local guys who are far handier than I.
Looking for someone in the Bolingbrook, Naperville, Woodridge, Plainfield...
will there be a newer version of the Tato Stand as far as lighter configuration? something lesser than 20lbs? thanks
Got the Expedition Asym Classic/Velcro bottom entry.
Stayed majority in the basement.
At the time, it was packaged well for its price.

I'm in Bolingbrook, searching endlessly where to hammock camp.
I'm going to subscribe to this thread just in case I can attend in fall, but, not on winter...not ready yet.

Subject came up about hemming tape as an alternative.
Curious if this has been tried before?

Questions:
Can I come after 10pm?
Is there a gate that gets closed at certain time and may not come in with car?
Won't get to Bolingbrook till 10pm that night, park gate might be close by then. That would be great if I could.

Tent camping or primitive sites (walk-in or backpack) with no vehicular access
Thanks.
Considering it literally took 2 years to finally take my Asym out of the basement, I'll probably stretch it's lifetime.
