Going on my wish list for the back yard. Getting two of my favorite things as one.
What size is the Kelty?
Just ordered an underquilt, can't wait for it to get here. I went with Loco because I could get a custom length. I did an analysis of amount of down vs length this weekend, and Loco seems to be just...
125810 Best night sleep so far, my new Envy-S
I have a ENO DN and an ENO SN, both got me and my son into hammocks. A bad hang is still better than sleeping on the ground. We have upgraded to Hammecks and they are just much more comfortable ...
7 nights since Nov, got my 1 night for February in last weekend.125487
125384 I had a ton of our cub scouts interested. Next campout hope to get a picture of Preston's.
I received my Hammeck Envy-S today. It is perfect! I wanted to thank the Meck family and MomMeck for giving me a tour at HangCon and making this purchase great. I will post pictures after I get to...
I have hung low and piled leaves under me. Worked out pretty good. Not sure about stuffing them in layers. I had 6 inches of leaves under me for a 26* night with a 50* rated synthetic UQ. It did...
Started in November, but have 6 nights in so far. 1 in Nov, 2 in Dec, 3 in Jan.

I also use a thermarest at home. I use a travel pillow in my hammock. I piccked it up in an airport traveling. But it scrunches just where I need the support in the hammock.
I would suggest a second sleeping bag, good wool socks, and a hat to sleep in. At 17* tent camping is a challenge to stay warm. If hammock is close to ground, use leaves underneath as a barrier.
I plan on making an underquilt for my son/my self. Depending on how well it comes out. I would rather use synthetic over down, as 26* would be pushing my lower limits for camping. What is the...
I have the Vulcan UQ, it did get me to 26* a week ago. Was totally warm, no CBS. *my disclaimer* I will sleep down to 65* with no UQ, TQ, or pad, etc. I am a very warm sleeper. This UQ will be...
I use a portable cell phone charger. The higher the mAh the more charges. If in doubt buy 2. Takes 24 hours to recharge them.
Since I have 2 sons, one much older, in scouts. I have been a tent camper for years. Moved to hammock to reduce gear/ weight and have a better night's sleep. I am stIll trying to get the right hang,...
Can I still sign up for this event?
I recently purchased this quilt. The first night I used it, it got to 40 f and windy. I was very toasty in my hammock. The UQ did not come with carbineers to attach, I had a few carbineers with...
