Welcome from the Texaslands.
Treat yourself to some top of the line wool socks. Nothing makes frigid camping better than warm toes.
Hello Larry,
Welcome from Upper Gulf-Coast Texas!
Happy Hanging,
So, in general, if you take a picture you become the copyright owner. If you post your copywritten image online I am pretty sure you still own it. Note, I am not a lawyer. But I do have Google. I'd...
Jake, to be fair brisket makes everything better, but I can tell from experience and rigorous testing that hammocks sleep better after some barbecue.
Shug, thanks for reminding me about snow. I'd...
Once a year a group of friends and I go out to Giddings Texas to camp for a long weekend on a 600 acre cattle farm. The site is composed mainly of rolling hills, red clay river beds, and endless...
I don't find it onerous to carry a hammock currently, the only area where I seem to lose space in my pack is for my insulation layers, which are bulky, bulky hippos.
Welcome from Texas! It's a great state for hammocking.
The King's New Pergola!
Now that I can see it I am envious and happy for you. Great looking nap spot you've got there, good job!
For some reason this is the only post on the forum where the pictures aren't loading at all. Could someone copy a snip here so I might see this beauty of a pergola?
5'10". I camp comfortably with a 11 footer, and have a 9ft brazilian at home for sleeping that works just fine with neck and leg pillows. It's all about the angle of the hangle.
Sounds like it could be promising for a 10 footer. The search continues. Thanks, Boston Fan (go Bruins!).
Lovely project. Good work, StanTrodd. And thanks for acknowledging the people who got you inspired. I've seen Jellyfish's videos before but I'm new to Nature Calls Outdoors, thanks for the new...
Awesome. Glad to hear y'all had a nice hang. Question for you. That stand fit a full 11" hammock with the proper angle of the dangle?
Been eyeballing a new stand for indoors and that one has a...
Practice your knots!
Welcome from Webster, TX. Hope you get out a bit now that we have 2 months of livable weather coming.
The origin of, and solution to cold butt syndrome. My first hang ever was in October of 2017 and it was misery. Then I found Shug's content and was sorted out.
Freundlich willkommen! Germany has some beautiful country for camping.
Howdy from Texas!
Every time you post your pictures I end up running out into the woods somewhere in Texas for a weekend. Not nearly as enchanting as your beautiful countryside in winter, but thank you all the same...
I went with a prefabricated stand, a 10 foot hammock, and have been living the good life for more than a year now. The stand breaks down into 4 pieces with the twist of a few screws, and packs down...
Howdy from Houston! Welcome to the forums.
Willkommen im Forum, and howdy from Texas. Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures in Europe. I had the good fortune to visit Marl Germany not so long ago and it was lovely. No hammock...
Howdy from Houston,
Best night's sleep I've ever had was the first time me and my Dutchware got acquainted. It only gets better the more you learn.
I have had a great experience with the Dutch half zip. Also, if ticks are a concern and you haven't already take a look at soaking your gear and clothes in Permethrin. Stuff is wonderful, and will...
I am beholding. It is wonderful.
Store looks great, very clean and navigable. Best of luck to you.
Wish you had an evolution hoody or t-shirt!
Beautiful pictures, thank you for sharing.
It might just be because I'm hungry and waiting on lunch but my favorite one of the bunch is that omelette. Eggwhites? Looks great! (the Catskills are...
Howdy from Houston. What would you say is the primary difference between your new Warbonnet and the other hammocks you've used in the past?
Howdy from Houston,
The hammock's looking great. Good job! Please do post pictures when you've completed your RL organizer.
Best,
Looks like you found a good deal for some intro gear. Post a review when it gets some test time!
Howdy from Houston. Used to live in Marina del Ray and hung a hammy out on the balcony. Stay safe with that air quality you've got now.
Howdy from Houston! Best sleep of my life was the first time I brought a hammock to camp.
Velkommen! And howdy from Texas. Post pictures of that beautiful snow when it comes in, we don't get that stuff out here.
Howdy from Houston, neighborino.
Howdy from Houston, and good luck on your hammock-related endeavors!
Howdy from Houston (36.11C most days/nights in the summer), and Velkommen! Beautiful forests out in your part of the world.
Welcome back, you old goat. I hope your return to the trees is a happy one.
Hard to be grumpy when the boots are muddy and the world is quiet. Looks like a fun time, thanks for sharing!
I was goofing around on Youtube and found Shug juggling as a suggestion within a queue of woodworking videos. A week later I was talking with a friend at a local cigar lounge and Shug came up, and...
Howdy from Houston, and good luck with your nomadic dreams.

Howdy from Houston TX.
Howdy from Houston!
These people are great. I attribute all of my hammock success to the knowledge and answers I've received here.
Happy hanging,
Howdy from Houston,
My family is largely from the Falmouth area, always nice to see New Englanders.
A lot of comfort is nailing the angle of the dangle. There are a lot of great tutorials on...
Howdy from Houston, fellow tree dweller.
Raising a mug of Yorkshire Gold your way!
I was planning to camp the Texas Renn Fair with friends, and didn't want to be on the ground with the red ants and floodwaters we regularly get in October. After some time on the Google-Machine I...
Beautiful forests in Slovakia! Thanks for sharing your hang.
