Thanks for the info, I'll check those out!
Nobody has any problems with vacuum making it difficult to open as long as you fill it to the top?
Has anyone tried putting the bottle into a small dry bag to arrest any leaks should any sort of...
I'm 5'7 and around 175 lbs, and I'm currently using a Grand Trunk Nano 7 and separate Warbler Bugnet, I bought this combination rather than a hammock with an integrated net because I was concerned...
Nice setup!
My SL Asym fits (with probably more effort than it's worth) into an inflatable pillow stuff sack just to see if I could do it, but it really is a sausage in there, no room even for the...
Hike your own hike, but in my opinion there are places to compromise and for me bug protection isn't one of them. It can make or break a trip, so I opt for a full length bug net. The weight...
I do have a couple of soft shackles, I'll give that and the loop to loop thing a try, thanks!
I larkshead a whoopie sling around the UHMWPE huggers and it's like it's spotwelded on there after takedown, it's a big ordeal to undo. I would keep them together but I wanted to separate the...
Does anyone use the Warbler Bugnet by hummingbird hammocks? If so, how do you like it and can you post a picture of it in the stuff sack next to something recognizable for scale like a Nalgene...
Thanks for the replies! I contacted him and he went over some of the fabrics, and I ended up buying one in Xenon. It packs down small indeed, I even stuffed it into one of my inflatable pillow...
I'm using a Maccat standard now for use over my Grand Trunk Nano 7. I'm interested in getting a tarp that packs down smaller than the one I currently have for when I'm not really expecting bad...
Does Dream Hammock still make the Bugsock? I've seen it mentioned in another thread doing a search but can't seem to be able to find any information on it
Wish I had thought of that, thanks!
I picked up 3 back when they were on clearance, with the intention of sacrificing one and using it's down to help fill out one of the others. It was a HUGE mess, I wasn't able to get much down out...
I like integrated bug nets, but I don't like how bugs can still bite underneath. You can reduce it by treating your hammock, but it's nice to have a physical barrier.
It would be nice to have a...
Thanks for the replies guys! Pulled the trigger on a Maccat Standard, but I get the feeling this won't be my only tarp  a guy could go broke with all these possibilities
Thanks for the replies,
I'm probably only going to be using this only for warm weather. Shug's videos were part of the reason I decided to try hammocking :)
*edit* sorry for the necro
The Nano 7 is 9 feet long, but when hung would it be short enough for the 96" side to work on a ridgeline or cutting it too close / simply not long enough?
Hey guys,
I'm 5'7" around 170 lbs and new to hammocking.
My current hammock is a Skeeter Beater Pro with straps but I don't have a tarp. I like that it has a bug net, but it's pretty large...
I've been getting back into camping and decided to join the Hammock bandwagon now that winter is drawing to an end!
