Good to hear it! Thanks Carcajou.
I just picked up the pad today. Won't be hammocking with it until the weekend, but I did try it on the ground and was very pleased with the comfort, although I...
I went ahead and ordered a Synmat 7 in medium-wide. I'll let you know how it goes!
It is a tight fit, but the 30" Klymit does slide in with a bit of effort. It tends to 'taco up' too, but I did not enjoy the feeling on my shoulders.
Looking for anything over 25 inch wide, including the duo model.
Mostly interested in the Synmat line, but open to the rest.
Thanks!
Looking at the Downmat product line...very interesting...do you have any experience with the Synmat ones?
Thanks Shug! Do you feel the pad press on your shoulders once you're on it? That was my main gripe with the Klymit 30": it tends to fold like a taco unless inflated to the very max.
I've tried the following:
- Thermarest Neoair Xtherm (Large)
- Sea To Summit Ether Light XT
- Klymit Static V Luxe Insulated
- Klymit Static V Luxe Insulated SL
They all did ok, but I'm...
Bought new; please close.
I'm trying to get the girlfriend to go out on hikes with me more often, so I'm looking to buy a two person quilt to help that happen.
Let me know what you've got; I might also consider the Zpacks...
Do you use the adapters sold by Warbonnet, or just the Monopod by itself?
Very happy with the newer version. The Dreamtex fabrix is quite soft and pleasant, and the spreader pole connections feel safer for my carbon fiber spreader bars.
By "that pad" are you referring to the Static V Luxe, Static V Luxe SL or Hammock V?
Oops! I meant Ridgerunner indeed.
I am currently using the Static V Luxe SL, 27 inches wide. It's the best I've tried so far, but I am finicky about staying dead center.
I actually ordered the...
Does anyone have experience using the Klymit Hammock V in a DL Warbonnet Blackbird, or any other bridge hammock?
I find myself slipping slightly away from the center with rectangular pads, even 25...
Is the Thermarest the newest Wing Valve version?
I'll take it.
Definitely the natural choice.
I use them, they work very nicely. Haven't had to insert a wooden dowel like I've seen suggested. I weight 145lbs.
Underquilts are indeed not part of the sale
I'll take the Wooki.
To be sure, you are using a Blackbird XLC and not the original?
Is the Ridgerunner the version with metal tabs for the spreader bars?
1. The pair of Beetle Buckle straps currently suspending my Ridgerunner outside. The tarp is tensed with Fleastakes too.
2. Might be curious to get a Banyan and compare.
I have a double layer Ridgerunner with net if you're interested. :)
Would you be interested in a double layer Ridgerunner with net in 30D brown? It's the version with metal tabs for the spreader bars.
Would also be curious to know this.
I do not have experience with a 13 footer, but I have read that it should be sufficient to fully close the doors, and 12 feet would have a small gap.
All set for now.
Do I have to get it in Orange?
Is the Superfly silnylon or silpoly?
I'll take the HG
I would consider a synthetic Wooki or Lynx for humid conditions.
Still looking.
Still looking.
Preferably 11 foot length and with the bridge hammock option.
Cheers!
Went ahead and purchased a new one in Dreamtex, so I'm all set for now.
Thanks OneClick. The current selection appears to be mainly nylon, but there is still a 20D polyester option in Charcoal Gray.
I bought two second hand Wooki underquilts for an upcoming Blackbird. The first is in nylon and the second one in polyester (both 20D).
I tried to find info regarding the pros and cons of each...
Found a Wooki UQ, still looking for a Blackbird.
I'll take it :)
Still looking.
Trade offer fell through, but I may consider it.
Still looking.
Pardon my ignorance, but wouldn't the Cloudburst be the best option for the Ridgerunner (DCF aside), since it is designed for it?
I am also considering a tarp, preferably a silpoly Thunderfly or Minifly, or a non-Warbonnet option in DCF.
Thanks Lloyd. That is a good price, but I am looking for something more versatile. GLWS
I use the Klymit Pillow X along with a down pillow cover made by Goosefeet Gear. The combination is both lightweight and comfortable.
The pillow cover was a time limited Drop sale, but I believe...
Flexible on the Wooki temp rating, but preferably between 0F and 20F.
I live in Canada, but am right next to the border, and have a shipping address in Mooers, NY (12958) as well.
