I also went back to my Warbonnet cinch buckle straps. The system is just easier for me..less parts means less hassle.

Yeah, I could never get the beckett hitch tight enough for a comfortable hang more than a foot off the ground. Trying to do a j-bend was making me j-rage.

I am thankful for my strap/cinch buckle...

What are....how are those "Dynaweave" straps used?
I couldn't see how to use them in any setup I know of....

I received my order in proper time and picked it up today to test with my new xlc.

The issue I have is with the polyester custom straps. They do not appear to work with the Warbonnet cinch...

Hey, while you're here...do you know of a vendor I can purchase 20ft Kevlar straps from?

The straps were measured at being 7.5 feet from the ground up the trees in those photos. I compensated by tightening down the straps and whoopies very tightly, and it still sagged to close to 30...

See, that's why I wanted to swap to the tree straps and whoopies. I feel like it's a more durable setup than full straps and cinch buckles.

I currently use 20-foot straps with a carabiner on one end. What I do is swing the carabinered end of the strap around like a batarang and swing it up and around...

Accordign to the video at 04:10....The beckett hitch requires a strap to be used with amsteel continuous...

I can't figure this out for the life of me...
This beckett hitch doesnt seem to hold anything when using amsteel rope...

I just built two whoopie slings for a suspension setup replacement...

I just took a chance and made a pair of whoopie-slings that adjust out to 15 feet each.
They still roll up lighter than my strap/cinch buckle and carabiner setup.
I get the feeling they will last...

Oh, that setup was only to be used when the tarp isn't down and closed off.
Normally I tie the pull-out to the nearest tree or stake it down to the ground.

I did for about a half hour once last year. Family was with me so I didn't get to enjoy it much or for long.

I just hang it on a diagonal and it covers my footbox well. I had to have my wife lay in my hammock so that I could setup the underquilt properly and label it head and foot so that it's the same...
