I just use a bit of ShamWow cut into a thin strip, loosen the weave on LashIt, ZingIt or Amsteel and slip it right through the weave. Once you tension it, it is not going anywhere.

Just sort of noticed this thread, I just converted my tarp to shock cord at all attachment points.

The ridgeline is LashIt with a prusik at each end ... I doubled a length of 3/16" shock cord...

and just to complicate this a bit more ... we quote 30 degrees for GE and 25 for bridge hammocks .... but those numbers are for a loaded hammock, the angles change when you get in. If I set initially...
