Well, I'm surely a member! And the Tenacious Tape is still holding wonderfully!
I saw your Kickstarter! Very interesting concept, well thought out and versatile. At over 300lbs, I am over your rated weight, but I wish you the very best as you progress the concept!
In Sandy, but old, fat and don't get out much! Love the forum!
Yeah, average cost per night dropping consistently - and the tape is holding perfectly from my attempted pole launch!
2+ years, nightly, in Just Bill's Big Guy Bridge: what he said! No more straight forward person to deal with!
I have used my Tensa 4 with NX270 several times. Need to be adjusted well to keep the hammock off the poles. Just a learning curve item.
By going to China to prototype instead of doing it locally. Interesting idea that did not have much business acumen behind it. Now they post pablum on FB instead of real information.
Last update is that production samples have shipped from China, with production units in the USA in January, with immediate shipment to Kickstarters. We will see.
On my NX270, I can stake to make it work, but would want a tyvek or other ground cloth. Mark2 is made to go to ground, with the integrated fly.
6'4", 310 - not an issue. Super Strong.
Exactly - applicability to the situation in which it is needed. As Fat Man, I can use some gram-stuff that will fail miserably and be completely happy with off the shelf. And, I have cottage and...
Having had several tacos, I can say that the stand has wonderful stability and safety when used as instructed and designed. Kinda like a car - -- or a bike - - - or a motorcycle - - - or a semi...
Looks like the same as this, from Amazon:

Polyester, not cotton.
The Lair of Genius!
Uh oh! Bigger is really better!
Submitted one, as well. Good vendors are hard to find. Great ones almost impossible! And this list has a lot of the latter, especially Dutch and Co.!!
I am still amazed at how Bill has developed a hammock that allows me, at 6'4" and 310lbs, to lay in any position, turning at will, right into another comfortable position! I really like my other...
Respect your choices, your commitment to family, commitment to quality. Still loving mine, nightly!

Intriguing - is the carry bag length the 4ft? If so, too wide for a motorcycle?
Could a ridgeline pole be adapted for indoor, etc, use?
Glad to return some of the fun!!
Oh, not for me, Bill. I test it every night! Then I test it again the next night - - -- !!!
And, on sale, now.
Just saw it was on sale - I think for $149 - I'm too fat, or I'd at least look at it.
And that, folks, is how you know you have a successful product!!
6-7 nights a week, every week, will be a year at the end of this month! Fat Man in a Big Guy - sounds weird. Hammock and all parts have held up well and show almost no wear! Dreamland, every...

Plain jane square Underquilts, sheets, blankets, etc.... these generally work okay but require some DIY innovation and assembly of the system. Mini Binder clips can be...
Happy for you! I sure love mine, as my nightly sleeper!!
I recall him, sad series of events up in Idaho, IIRC. Reason I got my spot, but think I will go with a PLB in the future. Good to remember why these devices are so important.
Well, I went in on the Kickstarter and am willing to give up $100 to see if this works for MY needs. I surely understand and appreciate the concerns discussed - and most will likely be an issue. ...
I would call it "sleeping into the lead!"
An idea from someone on this site, I added 1/4 inch rubber tubing over each properly inserted pole tip - they have not moved, fallen off, etc.! Now all I do is check to make sure all four tips are...
As an original tester, at over 300lbs, I have been sleeping in mine, nightly at home, since the end of February - still absolutely the best night's sleep! No wear, no tear, just a great product!
Bill is generally right, but I have to set/unset every night - on "Javelin" night, I had set, checked the tips, then added my TQ and pillows, apparently knocking the tip out. Sat down and LAUNCHED...
Yup, that's me - user error!! The dang hammock is bulletproof! I cannot stress it, wear it out or bust it! The javelin trick, however, did work. As did the repair! :O
Mine was Operator Error - I checked when i set up (a daily ritual) put in the TQ and pillows and plopped down - LAUNCH!!
Now I check every time before sitting.
Javelin is a great description!
I am the tester that shot a pole through the side and have used it since: I did just repair using the tape Just Bill sent - but i didn't really need to: the hole did not expand (great material!!) and...
I use them, gotta be sure you are anchoring into framing that can handle the stresses.
As one of Just Bill's testers, at 6'4" and about 320lbs, I do a pretty good job of filling up the bridge. As Bill said, the design is like an hourglass, and I pretty much fill up the middle of the...

I bought one, very similar to all of the Chinese made hammocks, very aggressive social marketing, once they get your info. Not bad, I returned mine, which was no issue. and went Dutch, because I...
Hiding in plain sight!
I was able to use a Jet coupon, with the deal, and got them all, plus a pillow for 47, IIRC. Jet sent the coupon in the mail, but I believe 15% off are online.
Amazon has them today for 41, FYI.

Was at their showroom today and there was rumor of a Black Friday or Christmas sale - I would stay tuned!
