I made that mistake before of sleeping in a tent rather than my hammock.
Some of those campsites you are better off in a hammock than a tent. Camped there with the Boy Scouts a few years ago and finding a level spot for a tent where we were was challenging.
No issues with hammocks in South Cumberland State Park or the Fiery Gizzard Trail.
Cool and scary moment at the same time.

I absolutely love Savage Gulf. The rim trail for the Stone Door is a great hike. Seeing snow on the ground there must have been a beautiful site to see.
