Festival went excellent! Got up to 12 hammocks in it with room for several more. Woke up to kids climbing all over the dome. Had some nuts seize up on the bolts & ended up using an angle grinder...

Weight is a little under 500lbs. As a lighter alternative, you could build a 2v dome out of 3/4" conduit that would weigh < 200lbs(http://imgur.com/a/unGXn)

Absolutely! It tends to draw people in. Lots of questions, people coming by just to hang out, random others wanting to put up hammocks & chill.

.7 * 12 = 8.4

so, 5'3.6" and 4'8.4" are the exact lengths you are going for.

and you can just eyeball-guestimate the .6 and .4 of an inch...
