Where in Home Depot did you find the Al pole? What is its diameter and length?
Some cheap Walmart fabric is always good for testing.
The answer is always the same for any gear....
JUST ONE MORE :thumbup::thumbup:
Listen for the secret knock. Watch for the handshake.
Good job, very nice! May I ask, where did you get 750fp down?
I let my 2 nieces and nephew torture test my 1.9 dbl. It laughed at them and is still in service years later.
Just to add one more idea to the list I used some wide elastic on my tq. I cinch the footbox closed to allow for venting. Then a couple pcs of elastic sewn on up to about knee level. My thinking was...
Did you ever weigh it?
Another vote here for cardboard. I've never had any luck with flexible patterns.
Cat cuts help the tarp achieve a tighter pitch. Or at least make it easier to do so.
Nothing a little backwoods dd or noah lampart sil can't fix.
I don't think I read this, how much offset from center did you give the pullouts?
It looks like you put all the excess netting to the no zipper side, is this correct?
I'm in. Thanks!
Is the fabric breathable? Looks like the sailmakers fabric frim kitebuilder.com It may be better for tarps???
Can't help with a fix, but would really like to know where the brown came from.
I'm in! Thanks!
Count me in Thanks!
Looks great! What GP pattern did you use the Santiam Reversible Vest??
Enjoy, be safe!
The Dritz Loop Turner is 9.250000000001" along the straight section from the finger loop to the hook. But since you can bunch up the line precision isn't important.;)
Just use cuben & end the debate!:scared::lol::lol:
I've never found anything that works better than a loop turner from Joann's fabrics. Oh & always remove a few strands first!
Site looks good, but I was surprised you weren't selling Mora knives!:lol:
I think my first choice would be Climashield, then Primaloft, lastly Thinsulate.
Just wanted to follow up on the longevity of this hammock. Have you been able to use it more? How is it holding up?

How about thru-hiker's momentum???
Have you had any problems with waking up wet/damp so far due to the coated fabric??? I know some have used sil without any trouble??
Vii,
You may try the fabric from here:http://www.rochfordsupply.com/shop/Textiles_-_Bargain_Buys/Closeout_Nylons/Ripstop_Nylon/index.html but you will need to find out the weight, & if it is coated...
Wouldn't this be considered a cardinal??
If using the tent method a cheap dust mask may also have some merit.;)
May I ask, where did you get your down??
MountainF, Why no side pullouts on the hex tarp???

ChrisH, I tried to resist, but I really want that HF Biner if still available.

Was this an added charge???

Dave, thanks so much for the pics! As quoted you said you were wearing sweats, but I was wondering what else you were using? As in a sleeping bag or Quilt??
Is this Hennessy's newest/current model??
Dave, could you possibly post some pics of how you are using this setup? It sounds interesting!
Before applying a diluted silicone mix you may try gently washing the tarp in woolite, it may strip the existing DWR & allow you better results.
Keeping in mind it takes almost 14' to make a single 6' whoopie.
