Cool! I just have never seen a Martin stuff sack... like it matters, LOL!
Let's make it official: I'll take it.
Is it the original stuff sack? If so, is the material on the bug net maroon as well?
what's the maximum width with the argon fabrics?
yuuuuup (I'll take it)
I give it 5 minutes, tops.
tarp 3: I'll take it
what's the length of the DB?
If the tarp is still available: I'll take it.
forum police in 3...2...1...
Ok, so let me start this by saying that I've really spent some time searching this... so if this is covered elsewhere, sorry for the new thread.
To the point!! I have a new Superfly from...
Must... resist... willpower fading...
So summer us quickly approaching us here in Texas, and I wonder... what do you guys from states with a real summer use for top "insulation"? I'm talking lows in the high 60s to mid 70s, possibly...
we ride bulls for longer than that here in Texas. Sheesh.
I got a set of these from Padovini a couple months back. These are well made and I'd recommend them to anyone with a Superfly.
What color? And what all are you including in the sale? Sorry, it's just not very clear.
As a newer member, my advice: stop thinking you're going to find the "perfect " setup right out of the gate. You won't. And even if you find a setup you love, your curiosity is gonna drive you crazy...
not to be bossy, but we should really see an official "I'll take it" from bcliff here...
Man... smokin' deal.
funds sent
I'll take it.
kool and the gang, then!
Lot 2 (whoopies et. al.): I'll take it.
yeah... I see on the whoopieslings.com website that they sell it as two different products though... I just can't figure out why....
Any reason I couldn't use the whoopies in lot 2 with an ENO double?
Was the tear through both layers?

I can't agree more. I spray my stuff with this http://www.rei.com/product/768970/sawyer-permethrin-pump-spray-24-oz
and have had great luck, both with gulf coast Texas skeeters, and Costa...
oooh, I love that idea! Hammock booby traps!
It does... to be more clear, I wish all the features of the XLC, minus the extra length, were available in the standard blackbird, with a top cover. Or to think of it another way, a DangerBird with a...
I really needed to hear that. Sincerely, thank you.
That'd be my unicorn, my Eleanor. The foot box of the Warbonnet Blackbird, with the netting of the XLC, combined with the "convertibility" of the Dream Hammock Dangerbird.
see, this is what's killing me... I am NOT 6', I'm 5'8", but I hate being cramped. But I don't want to get a monster hammock if it isn't really necessary either! Ugh... I just can't imagine 4" of...
That's cool, I have paracord... I tie knots...hook me up! I'll take a set.
actually, I'll take a set either way. I was kicking myself for missing the last ones.
That's awesome... I'm about to order this tarp anyways... do the straps that go from the tarp to the pole come with the tarp? Or are you including them?
This is to fit the WB superfly, right?
yes, but I've been so far unable to find one where they holler out "Whoooo Buddy!!!", and that's what I'm really looking for in a juggling instructional.
I have a question: when can I get a hammock with the Texas state flag emblazed with all its red, white and blue glory upon it? Cause I WILL be buying one!
Dittos on that! I'm still waiting on him to do a juggling instructional, though...
Thanks Paul, that helps! It's pretty confusing, trying to decide between all the options available... I was trying to figure out if the additional charge was really worth it to go from goose to duck...
Oh hey, I didn't think about pads... good call...
ok, so... what difference would I notice between "lower grade" 850 fill duck vs "higher grade" 850 fill goose? Imagine you have two otherwise identical quilts side by side, one filled with 850 goose...
Ok... so all other things being equal, 850 fill goose should weigh less than 850 fill duck? Do I have that right? But otherwise they will have the same insulating ability, right?
And how much...
see, that's what I'm talking about. As a hammock noob, I don't want to buy stuff I won't like. Another idea if you think pads won't be your thing: hit up the dollar store for a reflitix window shade...
So, when I place an order for a top quilt... BESIDES the hand wringing I'm going to go through in picking which cottage vendor with what options, etc... will I notice a big difference in duck down vs...
I'm glad I read this... I'm looking for a quilt soon, and hadn't yet heard of these guys!
WOW! This is really cool... I'm also kind of surprised though, that none of us have seen this out of any "mass produced" gear as of yet. Although, this crowd primarily supports the cottage industry...
man, awesome work! I wish I could sew like that... my stitching looks like a group project produced during arts & crafts hour at Bellevue.
gotta give a shout to Dutch on this... a cinch buckle accomplishes the same thing as a pair of descending rings, and probably weighs less. Some people have found the cinch buckle to slip less than...
Ah, I see... as a recent convert from "overkill car camping", I'm not used to the idea of giving up room yet! Really good looking tarp, and great price!
Yes! "The Ultimate Hang" by Derek Hansen! I got mine through Amazon... great read, awesome illustrations... it's a heck of a compilation!
