Admin's, I'd be very suspicious of a single first post with a link like this in it. I'll bet that link is nefarious af, and recommend removing it from this thread. This guy obviously came here...
Not really, since it's asym only and the HG is symmetrical. I'd say the Raven is the more direct competitor for price and symmetrical. Although the net design is very different, somebody shopping...
Just in case you aren't aware, that depends only on the net/cover. If you plan to add a net anyway, you could buy a symmetrical net for it and have a symmetrical hammock.
I can imagine a hammock too long to hang without a stepladder or with a ridgeline you couldn't reach from in the hammock, or so wide that you would have difficulty getting in/out, have walls of...
I'm thinking near the Arkansas/Missouri/Oklahoma line to hopefully combine the 2 threads I have going into 1 hang across 3 regions and draw more people (We can call it the 3-Regions Hang?), and...

single layer 1.7, continuous loops, in original packaging with everything that came with it (tieouts, net with 2 zips on each side, stuff sack that doubles as organizer, ridgeline with clips for...
Foot boxes are sewn into the net, not the hammock, so I'd mark #3 off the list.
I'm not convinced the parallelogram makes any difference as I've read that it gets stretched into a rectangle in use...
I've got a brand new True Blue Eldorado, never been used. Tried to cancel the order but it had already sent, $98 +shipping MO to IL can't be much.
From another thread:
The Warbonnet Eldorado's are asymmetrical, but because the bugnet is fully removeable, it can be switched from right lay to left lay so you can set it up however you wish to sleep that night. If...
Yeah, I think key to this whole idea will be to completely fill the space provided. 3" is a lot of thickness. I struggle with the the thought of how thick would be best, with the idea being that...
I see your near Tulsa. Put something together at a good location in NE Oklahoma and I would come down there. March was still a bit cold for me, but it's definitely hammock weather now....
I keep checking for any hangs near me (which is tricky at the intersection of 3 regions), but never find one. So.... maybe we should put one together? Just gauging interest for something in NW...

If I had to hang from trees 30' apart, I would climb one of the trees and attach a line either high up the trunk or, better yet, on a thick branch that moves closer to the other tree. You don't need...
Definitely something I would do. If you haven't been asked at least once to take your hammock down, you aren't using it to it's full potential, lol
Depends on the kid, but most 11yo I know appreciate being able to swing and play with their hammocks when they aren't sleeping, which means a cheap hammock can be a lot more fun. I bought a bunch at...
You're just not setting up in a remote enough location, lol
What this idea really is, is a great way to try out the idea of snake skins. If you don't have snake skins already, go get a loofah and try this, really. Sure, it will tear as soon as you don't...
If the symmetrical bugnet is cut large enough, it will allow you to lay every bit as flat as the asym bugnet and I can't see anyway it would make side lay more difficult. An asym bugnet is just a...
The point though is to eliminate any complexity (visual and otherwise) of shockcord etc. But I do think it could be tested by whipping together a 2 layer hammock with the outer layer either very...
Is it possible to order a lightweight double hammock with each layer a different color?
Not if it was designed to zip to the topcover, leaving the hammock floating inside and easy access to adjust the UQ... It is an option missing from the Chamelion's great modular versatility. It...
That made me lol, Snaps. :)
So what you are really saying here is the change would need to made by VBulletin as an upgrade to the underlying software to insure future compatibility. That makes a...
SilvrSurfr, the change I'm suggesting would prevent that and any motivation to do that. In some ways it would actually be a greater restriction, since the posts would have to occur in at least 5...
Anybody have a high res picture of the true blue?
Doesn't have to be an Eldorado, but the pictures on WarBonnet site are so low res you really can't get a feel for the color and I haven't run across...
This forum has been around long enough that the answer to most questions is available to those willing to take the time to search. And I suspect there are a lot of us who come here new to hammocks...
Although I've not used either, I've read multiple accounts that say the 1.6 is softer and stretchier and most find it more comfortable. The 1.7 is sturdier and firmer, and some prefer a more firm...
Thanks for that link Rasmus, just the sort of info for which I'm looking and led me to this: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php/151595-Hennessey-4Season-system. Looks like Hennessy...
Actually rather than a CCF pad, I'm hoping this can be designed to use various small blankets or quilts between the layers that could be switched out for different temps. Sort of like the hammocks...
Has anybody ever made or used a double layer hammock with the inner-layer designed to carry all the weight and the outer layer a stretchier fabric that is there just to keep the insulation against...
I'd like to mention a counter-argument that I haven't seen mentioned here that has so-far kept me from spending much on a hammock, and that is that you can be more relaxed about cheaper items. I...
yep. But with a new question asked in the last couple days that would not have made sense in a new thread and so was appropriate here, and deserved an answer. Although I suspect the reason he had...
Ahhh. Glad the little guy like is, he looks so content. There are instructions on here somewhere for adding a CRL through the bugnet under the poles, to make it all string up faster with less...
If they don't, you are transferring the weight of the hammock (and you in it) to the wall stud, which is probably an old 2x2. It might work, it might not, depending on the mobile and it's condition....
Another thought on this, since I have a 10' hammock and would really rather have a 10.5' hammock, it seems the wider the end channel is splayed out, the better, as this would mimmick a longer...
Dutch has an Amazon StoreFront, DH might also. Why not ask him to list the hammock you want to buy there? Offer to pay the extra fees he pays to Amazon on the sale. He will sell at least one...
Isn't the Clark kinda short? Your 5'10"? I considered it, and the DD Jungle hammock that is about the same length. Then I realized the Equip Jungle Hammock Walmart sells is a bit longer, dual zips...
My cat likes to sleep on top of me, on top of the bugnet, as he gets up and down multiple times over the night when I'm setup on my farm. He has enlargened some of the holes in the bugnet from using...
Remember this is EMT, it is designed to be easily bendable, which really makes it less-than-ideal for this. On-the-other-hand, it has good compressive strength if straight, so make sure you get it...
Bobamos, I have that same hammock in your video. Could you share the lengths you added to each CL to space the RL attachment point out from the hammock gather, and the length of RL that you've found...
Bass Pro didn't have Planer Board Line in stock, but they did have 100' of 350# white Spectra bowline for $20, and 100' of 200# Archenemy brand orange braided Dacron for $10. Their braided Dacron is...
What if you used cheap cord with a shock cord tensioner? Wouldn't this stay every bit as tight and have the same stretch/strength characteristics as zing-it with a shock cord tensioner in actual...
Seems Zing-it is the most common response, often with shock cord loops, which seems to me would lose all the advantages of such a strong/no stretch cord. In use, the shock cord usually ends up...

Is this the same thing as planer board line? Looks like it, and if so a more common store to get it...
I'll take it
Anybody looking at this should consider the similar Equip mosquito hammock from WalMart for $33. It is ever so slightly bigger, removable bugnet spreader bars, and 2 zipper pulls on each side.
I will take the Hennessey per our PM's. Thank You.
