@Chesapeak
It does seem to be a bit narrow for a diagonal lay. Especially seeing as I am 6/6.1 Ah well I had the same thought as you. I can wear this one out and use my expensive UKhammocks quilt...
Yeah, buying from China is nothing special here in Europe and especially in the Netherlands. I know of none, except for my old mother, who hasn't bought something from aliexpress.com.
The Chinese...
Hi all,
I wanted to share this for those who are on a limited budget. The feedback seems to be only positiv. I have an excellent underquilt from UKHammocks but still bought the 0 F to 68 F (5 C to...
Southwest PA? Panama?
Greetings from Groningen tN :)
Noisy and shiney. No thank you.
Welcome from Groningen
That little white feather out of the top of your hat, is that your "warpaint" :-)
Thanks guys. I am first going to try to prussik it to the main suspension. If that doesn't work the way I want it to I can always go for the u shaped loop or even four separate lines for each corner.
I want to attach a secondary suspension system to my underquilt, however I am not entirely sure how to setup/create the end part of it. With that I don't mean the part closest to the hammock with the...
Is there a particular reason you are selling it after only two days of use?
That is one hell of a good looking hammock you made there! Very impressive work!
Headlamp and phone.
I have exactly the same hammock but in black (I have everything in black, this includes my quilts and so on). This is a great colour as well!
It is a very comfortable hammock indeed. The speed...
 Thought so. Happens to the best of us
Enjoy the camping trip and hello back from the Netherlands a.k.a. the other side of the planet :)
Impressive work! Thanks!
Lol are you sure you commented on the right thread mate :)
3 millimeter
Pulling the core might work but wouldn't that affect the strength?
Yep definately. This version of Dyneema has a core which will not work for splicing :-(. Ah live and learn hey.
So I went into town to buy 26 feet of Dyneema for about 13 dollars to make some whoopie slings. While riding my bike home I realized I didn't buy hollow braid Dyneema :(.
Now I am stuck with 26...
I'm sure it's an excellent hammock! Happy hanging :)
Jared rules! Enjoy the hammock :)
The ground is for mudpeople. Enjoy the quilt! :)
The photo of them sleeping in the back of the car one on top of the other is quit funny :). Looks like a great fathersday.
I never bothered with a 3/4. I didn't want any hassle and went straight for the full length. Nice and warm and the weight difference is negigible.
My under and topquilt came from UKhammocks. They...
Nice colour combination! Looks excellent.
Another stadjer. Welkom Folkert. Try the forests in Drethe. Those are your best shot for a nice hang.
I have the Trail Lair and it is an excellent hammock. Worth buying!
Another +1 for the Trail Lair from Simply Light Designs! Worth every cent. Just contact Jared and he'll help you out with fabric choises and so on.
Welcome from the Netherlands
Nice with the red thread!
At least you had your morning shower done and finished hehehehehe
Looks like you're having fun :-).
As long as it works who cares if it's not perfect :). I like it!
Hi,
I only now saw this thread because you send me friendsrequest :). There are a few hangers from the Netherlands here. Most are not very active though. I might be the most active of the lot LOL.
When you use the Sawyer spraybottle on your hammock. Do you only spray the outside of the hammock or also the inside?
Welcome from the Netherlands.
Very nice. Man we hammockhangers rock :D

Hahahaha I am sure you are LOL
That was what I am worried about. If you leave the creases long enough sometimes fabric gets damaged at those locations.
Hi,
I am wondering how you folks store your hammocks when you are not using them for longer periods of time?
My hammocks are in bishop bags and I am not sure it is a good idea to keep them in...
Welcome and bloody nice front yard!!! Beats my tiny balcony :)
A +1 for the Trail Lair from Jared. He is extremely fast and delivers high quality. Trust my word, I am a stickler for details.

A lot of the cheaper hammocks seem to be smaller. That's propably the reason they are cheap.
You don't really need a sewing machine to create a hammock. I did this
