Yeah. Luke really figured it out didn't he? I love mine, but what I don't love is, as often as not, waking up with a "wet" back. I suffer from condensation using a pad in a hammock. It's a bummer....
11'. 65" wide. 1.6 hexon, single layer. The peak shelf is built in and works great. Jared is the best in the business. It's awesome

Interesting discussion.
I'm a relative noob, switching to hammocks 5 years or so ago. The absolute best, for me, has been my Hammocktent.com ver 2 90deg hammock, with Lukes Carbon Fiber tarp....
My hammocktent.com tarp, built by z packs, has linelocs on the ridgeline, as well as all the guy lines and doors. It's rock solid. Can't imagine a better system. I try to copy it on every other tarp...
Alright on to the next question.
I'd like to make a couple dog bones at the correct length for quick, occasional, insomniatic (is that a word?) hangs around 2:00am in my shop. Not a long term...
great info. Thanks
Thanks all. I don't know what I'm looking at, but it looks to be 8 strands. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210209/f4ec4fcf527bb22d32fa2c16d5920e2c.jpg

I can't remember where I got this, but I'm almost positive it's amsteel. Looks like amsteel. Is there a way to be sure so I don't crack my...
Yep. Still looking
Looking for a tensa 4 stand from tensa outdoors.
Thanks
I took a trip with the TL over the summer and it was great. 9 nights back to back, and I feel like I got it pretty dialed, but it still felt a little narrow.
A new Trail Lair showed up today and...
Same here. With his evo loop, its a pretty great, simple combo, although packs massive compared to my kevlar setup. LOL
Not what you want to hear, esp when you see the pricetag, but I'm not sure anything is going to pack smaller than a Hammock Tent 2.0. I can post a picture later if you want, but it's about the size...
I go around the tree low. I tied loops in the line and do a quick truckers hitch. Easy and secure.
Second on the incubator
Bill,
pretty sure your hammock wouldn't work for me in the same way a ridgerunner doesn't but figured it doesn't hurt to ask. I love the concept/design of a bridge. What I don't love is side...
Alright, Christmas is done. Maybe you didn't get the hammock you were hoping for !? I'm here to help.
With a bugnet. Don't need suspension. Ideally 62-65" or so wide give or take. Would consider wider but not my first choice.
SLD Trail Lair. Warbonnet XLC/Endorado. Dream Hammock Darien, Raven,...
Just put it on a scale in it's stuff sack. 20.3oz/575g
I moved this to the for sale section of the site. I tried to move this thread, but can't figure out how. Maybe, a mod can do it?
Thanks
Ridgerunner I bought a couple months ago. Slept in 5 or 6 times. Laid in 15ish times. Never outside. No rips, tears or abuse. It's as new.
Color is charcoal Gray. Double layer with bug net. Comes...
What color/fabric is it?
Looks like your $270 into it.
I'm $220 into the ridgerunner.
Unless you keep the winter cover, this doesn't work for me. I don't see spending more for something I...
Thanks latherdome and jeff-o. I thought I was in the main tends thread, but yes I'm referring to the tensa 4.

There's no stupid question right?
How well does the stand fold up with a hammock attached? Can you release the tether(s), fold it in half and move it? Ideal spot for me is in my shop where I...
I would be, but don't need the winter cover. Looks like they go for $90(!). Seems you should be able to sell it off if needed?? Are you interested in the UQ as well?
Kinda sorta I guess. I use the same pillow I've used camping for years. CAn't remember the brand. Cocoon maybe? It rolls up to a tiny ball, and is inflatable. More or less air depending on hammock...
Video or it didn't happen
This part has me curious. The best hanging spot indoors at my place is in the middle of my little bakery attached to our home. When I can't sleep at night I end up in a couple different places,...
My wife puts up with all kinds of my shenanigans, but that is definitely not happening in our living room!

Thanks. I don't think I'm interested in that.
So, I'm
$219 shipped in on the Ridgerunner. I'd start it at $175 shipped in the for sale section
I paid $75 shipped for the UQ. I don't know if you're interested in it.
I don't know what your...
Who's the manufacturer?
Yeah. As new from Warbonnet. Net, poles, double layer, poly straps with warbonnet cinch buckles.
Oh man, you had me until I saw 10'. At 6'1", I'm too tall for your setup.
Yes, it's the 40d nylon.
Thanks
Try a Simply Light Designs Trail Lair. The net is way higher than the XLC I tried. I felt claustrophobic in it comparatively.
Still looking!
To clarify, I'd trade for almost any hammock/UQ, not just sld. It's gotta be wider than standard width, but not crazy. Jared recommends 65". A friend has a Blackbird XLC. Yes, I'd...
This is a bit of a longshot. Long story short, I had a RR. I sold it. I thought I'd try again and was reminded why it isn't for me.
RR is as new. I bought it about a month ago from Warbonnet....
Standard is 9'long, but what length do most of you use for your 11' hammocks?
Missed it.
Apologize to all for my snarkiness, but still this hobby takes rigamarole to a whole nother level at times. It takes dedication to figure out what works and what doesn't for the...
I put myself through this entire thread, and not one person mentioned that you gotta dial in your setup before you end up at camp. I'm guessing if the original poster spent a few hours in his...
SLD Trailwinder? https://simplylightdesigns.com/products/trail-winder-asym-uq
Tarps are sold.
Thanks
Cloudburst is still available
Amok tarp sold!
PM sent!
Thanks
How did this Hexon wide 1.6 work out? I had a standard width Hexon 1.6 I sold because I wished it was wider. Is it too wide? I hear that complaint sometimes too!
Warbonnet Cloudburst with pole mods.
I just got this from eBay. The previous owner really went for it with what looks like rubber cement on the tie outs. I've only set it up for pictures, but...
I got an email this morning about a sale.
