Just got some, thanks Dutch! Never made a tarp before, but my 5 yo daughter might like to try with me. Would match her REI pack.
Sold. Thanks!

I can see how that would be handy. I just use the new posts button when I check hammock forums.
I just browse in chrome, never really liked tapatalk.

I'm just not a big knot guy because I don't think they look as clean and for some reason that bugs me. I like this alternative for cleanliness and I can remove it very easily, but both get the job...
Hopefully I won't push that limit either.
I like these line locks since they work a ton better for zing it. Thanks for the breaking strength info Gadget.
I'm not quite sure yet. I might not end up needing them much since I've got silpoly tarps so stretch isn't as bad. It probably would be a good idea, but I would have to think of a way to do it...
Just wanted to share this since I felt pretty clever coming up with a new use for some Dutchware I got and thought it might help someone else out.
I'm not a huge fan of knots, so I used a 12"...

Beetles are quite photogenic.
Added what I would trade for: TATO hammock stand.
I think sqid meant you wouldn't need the mitten hook at all anymore. I'm not a huge fan of mitten hooks so I might try the trimming idea. Love the beetles.
Very welcome. If you put it on incorrectly it'll be very obvious as there will be a lot of stress on the zippers and you won't be able to zip it closed while in it. I did it wrong my first time.
SLD Winter Haven tarp 11' ($240 shipped CONUS)
Side panel pull-outs (4)
Exterior pole mod with poles and pole bag.
Charcoal grey silpoly
Snaps on doors
Stuff sack
Includes dynaglide guylines...
Just the opposite actually. Picture the zippers attached to the end of your hammock. Your head and feet should be at the rounded corners.
I recently got an SLD Winter Haven out of xenon wide with double internal pole mod. It will be my dual hanging tarp.
I love my Dutch clips, but for some reason I always get nervous when I use them. Dutch's explanation made me feel better.
I received mine from Dutch a couple of weeks ago. Not exactly "wild" but it is the only place I've had time to hang in it so far. Lounges and a couple overnights have been great. Very pleased!
I...
I gave it a try with my HG Incubator (wide-long) and it didn't change anything as far as material. I used pullouts but it is too long to use the hooks for UQ suspension.
One note, and something...
I tried my HG Phoenix with it, but haven't put on my HG Incubator (which is wide and long). I can give it a try tonight, but your mileage may vary. I'm thinking the pullouts as well as the hooks for...
I have a couple of wide Dutch hammocks already and got a wide chameleon too. I like it just like I like the regular hammocks. The net and pullouts do a great job of taking care of extra material.
Before I saw the picture, I thought you were describing making a triangle between three trees (with straight lines) and hanging 3+ hammocks in line with the straps or across from strap to strap....
I'm sure Dutch would make you one custom if you asked nicely.
If you want pink or orange snake skins you could always use a loofah. Cheap and easy, plus colorful.
I have a feeling that these are going to be very popular.
It would be nice if it had an adjustable leg or kickstand so that you could take some of the pressure off of the car.
Weightless packable trees. Or stand, whichever.
It's always amazing to look back and see how far we've come, but much harder to look forward and predict.
I really like my HG incubator 20 paired with my Burrow 40 (with snaps). Let's me go cold or warmer. I also have a Burrow 20 (sewn) and Phoenix 40 for different weather or as a set for a friend.
Looks like a blast!
Jared is quick, great to work with and his work is impeccable. I've got a winter haven and he answered a ton of questions for me and does custom work as well.
