I've run that same Synmat 7 in my RR for years - I find it very comfortable and have taken it below freezing multiple times, but I'm also a warm sleeper. Being a side sleeper, it's nice to have a...
I've used both models. An older type DL w/net was the 4th or 5th hammock I tried and I really like it. I sleep on my side and it just seems easier to do with a flatter lay, so the Ridgerunner became...
Another user PMed me about this tarp and said I had posted elsewhere that it was a "blem" from WB. I had genuinely forgotten this because after receiving it from Warbonnet I had never been able to...
RR sold. Everygreen silpoly Mountainfly still available.
Posting an "I'll take it" from clayhwalker for the Ridgerunner. RR is sold, pending receipt of payment.
Item 1: Warbonnet Ridgerunner Hammock - Double layer, with net, brown. - SOLD
Item is in good condition. Used less than ~20 nights, no visible damage/wear. Stored indoors in a pet-free, smoke-free...
I bought a DL Dreamtex fabric RR during the Black Friday sale. I love my first RR and wanted to try the new fabric. I was happy to see that my RR had the updated corner configuration.
I haven't...
100%. I haven't slept in my new Dreamtex RR yet, but laying in it a couple of times it just has a bit more texture and just slightly more "stretch"... it's very comfortable.
This is how I typically run my RR. Allows the ability to separate the hammock from the suspension and, as you pointed out, allows a shorter hang distance.
Yeah the went pretty fast from what I saw. Several colors/combos were out of stock for weeks before the sale, but not long after the sale they were all out. I grabbed a netless dreamtex RR early on...
I've got a Mountainfly in Evergreen 20D silpoly. It's pretty new as I bought it in May of 2018 but I've only been out maybe 4-5 nights since then. My plan was to sell in a month or two and buy a 13'...
Sold to campnfish, pending payment.
This is a 20* Ridge Reaper underquilt from Loco Libre, specifically designed for Warbonnet's Ridge Runner hammocks. It has been used approximately 4-5 times and always stored loosely in its cotton...
Last item sold!
PM'd you, signhanger.
*Bump*
Price drop on the XLC to $135.
I'm not the poster you asked, but the XTherm Max has an r-value of 5.7 which ought to get most to down below freezing. I'm a bit of a warm sleeper but my Exped Synmat 7 (r-value of 4.9) has taken me...

IMO a fully inflated pad makes it flatter side-to-side. I don't know about "significant" but it's definitely noticeable. I've slept in mine with a pad and with a UQ... I think at theend of the day...
Dang that was quick! Topquilt sold and underquilt sold.
*bump*
Decided to price them out separately *and* together. No reason not to do both simultaneously.
At present I'd like to see if anyone will buy altogether. If it doesn't sell in a few weeks I'll likely split it up. :)
Item 1: Warbonnent Blackbird XLC - $145 shipped
Blackbird XLC Style: Single layer 1.7 XLC. Color: International Orange. Suspension: None (Continuous Loops). This is the newer version of the XLC,...
That's actually my default setup. There's plenty of room as long as you're not pitching the tarp down real tight, and even then you can easily pull out the sides or use a pole mod if you wanted to...
I just visited and everything seems normal for me. I tried navigated to various pages, adding items to the cart, subtracting items from the cart - both from the little pop-up and from the actual cart...
I use the WB cinch buckles, but I added dutch clips and swapped out the apex buckle for dutch biners. Quick to setup, easy to adjust, and the suspension can be removed and stored separately from the...
I was curious about this myself but now I have both colors and can take a photo. The top is a single layer WBBBXLC in International Orange, the bottom is a Loco Libre 50* Operator Ghost Pepper top...
My 50* Operator quilts (TQ and UQ) arrived a couple of days ago. I already had a 20* Ridge Reaper, but wanted lighter quilts to pair with a lighter hammock to use in the summer months. Given I live...
I can't really speak for the Thunderfly, but I picked up a blem Mountainfly a couple of months ago. IMO, it's huge. It's the first tarp I've owned with doors, but I've never gotten cold or wet...
Just to add what others have said - you can definitely sleep comfortably at low temperatures in the winter. You just need the right pad with enough R-Value to do it.
I've slept comfortably on...
Did you check the quilt gallery on LL's site yet? There are quite a few color combos posted there. That was helpful for me when placing an order for my ridge reaper.
3 emails over 3 weeks? 3 emails over 3 days hours? 3 emails over 3 hours?
I emailed Warbonnet back in October and received a response in 20 minutes. I'm sure there's a good reason for a delay,...
As a general rule, I don't support the membership business model for communities. I creates a divide between the two 'classes' of members. Even if unintentional, it can have an effect on the...
I've been going off the side intuitively since I started hammocking. Once the idea occurred to me the first night I woke up to nature's call, I've never gone back. Personally, I find it dead easy to...
I would seriously consider going to a local hang (Northeast forum here) and see if you can try out a few different models of hammocks. That's a lot easier than buying multiple kinds and then trying...
I have a 20* Ridge Reaper on order. Judging from the lead time when I ordered it will probably be delivered late January/early February. I'll also (hopefully) be taking it into the field in late...
Can you close your doors all the way in the 12'? I'd be concerned that on 11' they wouldn't close around the triangle suspension.
Welcome from the Hill Country!
I use the double-ended stuff sack provided by WB. I bought dutch clips for the straps so I don't have to feed one end through the other, and I leave the straps attached. Where I camp there isn't sap...
Unfortunately I can't help with this specific question, but while waiting for other to chime in, you can check out these reviews that others have written about Loco Libre TQs:
Ghost Pepper 20*

I've only ever used a pad in a hammock, other than daytime naps. I bought an underquilt for my Ridgerunner to see what the fuss is about (and on very cold trips I can use the quilt+pad.)
I've...
I love satire and dry humor. IMO, this article is not satire. He's hyperbolic, sure. But I don't get a sense at all that he's kidding about disliking hammocks/hammocking. Only the very end makes you...
A decent bit of trolling right there... the author managed to nail the only thing that matters today - audience engagement. I would argue that the lower standards for writing in niche publications...
Placed mine earlier today. Super excited! Thanks for running this sale, George.
Trees? Don't need no stinking trees...

For me it's more like I've forgotten what tenting is like. And there's no reason for me to tent. I don't 'hate' it, per se, it is just unnecessary for me. I go out to enjoy the outdoors. For me, that...
With my Hammock Bliss Sky Bed Bug Free, the bugnet is integrated and does not zip-off. There are also a few pockets on the inside of the hammock. It has been easier for me to just set it up like...
Given that gravity is weaker on Mars, I bet we could go lighter on the fabric choices. :shades:
That's a significant improvement! I just picked up an RR a few weeks ago and was able to take it out last weekend. Can't wait to slowly upgrade and switch out components like the tarp and UQ.
I just picked up a Ridgerunner last week and am able to take out this weekend. Nothing obvious to solve this problem so far, but when I have some more hang time in it I may get inspiration. Given the...
