I bought my tarp from Amazon. I love it. A little heavy but I think the coverage is plenty.

PM me.
Where you at?
You still looking for some hang time? PM me and we might be able to set something up.
It has worked for me. Anything hanging lower than the suspension should redirect the water. There are a lot of members who have a break in the suspension also. You can do this by putting a ring at...
Enter me in the giveaway!!
Thanks!!
Haha. She got to carry the bulky fluff. She didn't break a sweat.
I posted some time ago that I wanted to get to the winds and it ended up working out. I took my sister who had a blast. I put her in a Hennessey expedition with a KAQ new river long. She stayed cozy...
So I went to the class... Didn't think it was done too well. I about got up to go get some of the gear I had in my car. One person there did recommend that the presenter read Derek's book.
I felt...
My best hangs have been in the winds. Island lake was probably one of the best.
Which trailhead are you leaving from?
Every time I go I just want more!
Any takers on a trip to the Winds from Elkhart? My hiking buddy dropped out. Maybe someone has a group that is already going and I can "hang" awkwardly nearby.
My wife has two rules about me...
Great report!!
I really like my hennessy hex. It handles winds and rains like a champ.
There are a lot of options available. Maybe you could let us know a little more about what type of camping you enjoy. What is the weather like where you like to camp? What is your price range?

I don't think SilvrSurfr is saying it is a horrible hammock for everyone, but rather it is one he now finds to be uncomfortable after having tried other hammocks. There are plenty of people who say...
I wouldn't say that I had plenty of room, but sufficient for my height and weight. I found the trick with my Hennessy was to put my head into the space created by the pullout and I would lay flat. I...
I am a little taller than you and the Expedition was my first hammock. It served me well. I used the stock tarp for quite a few years without any problems and the coverage was just enough to for the...
Recently got my New River in the mail. What are you folks using as your top quilts? I am hoping that I can pick up a top quilt from ahe in the next year but in the meantime I need a more affordable...
I posted some things before donating that got moved. I totally understood why when I got a PM explaining why it was moved. Those who are offended by the rules usually choose to be offended by them....
I'll take it!
Hello from another Ute!!
I am in California for some additional schooling but hope to go on a nice trip up to the winds or Utah ranges in late July.
Post some Utah hang pics.
What sizes are you looking for?
I got my new river long UQ in ten days!!! Awesome.
SOLD
Please close. Thank you.
In my experience the cinch buckle is easier to use. The dutchbuckle requires a little more adjustment and I can't get it dialed into my preferred laying angles as easy as using the cinch buckle. To...
FOUND. THANK YOU!
Dropping to 60.
Still searching
Sounds like a great toy collection you are starting.
Welcome from pleasant hill.
Any takers for 70?
Weekend bump..
You're going to love it!!
The weight listed by the manufacturer is 3.96 lbs.
Stuffed in sack: 15 x 9 x 9 in (38 x 23 x 23 cm)
I usually don't use a stuff sack to compress my sleeping bags and just stuff it into my pack...
MacGyver!!
This looks great. Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to hear how it works out.
Dropping price to $75.

Hey all,
I have been saving my pennies for an underquilt and I hope there might be someone that has one they are able to part with. I would like an AHE NEW RIVER LONG. I am hoping to pick up a 3...
Thanks to both of you for giving me the opportunity to claim the item. Easttex, the UQ is yours.
Could you repost the original ad link? It doesn't work for some reason with my browser.
What is the lowest temperature you have taken the Lewis to?
Ha! I find it funny that I was thinking about what to do with my dividend today. I saw the Vulcan online and thought about maybe taking a gamble. Then I reminded myself that KAQ would be much better...
I actually went and hung at lake ansa yesterday. There are some over night camp spots that have some good pits and plenty of trees. You have to reserve the sites.
How about just going to Tilden?
I like the idea!
Good looking quilt! It looks like you really took your time.
I think the weekend of the 14th would be great. I can't commit 100% yet due to school but it seems like a great idea.
So you are saying the leaders will fail when using the anchors? How many hangs have you gotten out of your leaders before replacing them?
With the net removed I find that it doesn't have loose material or anything that hangs over your face like other parachute hammocks. It is nice for a day hike.
