PM me and I will give you email info.
Would insultex be an easy solution. If velcro can adhere directly to the ix then you wouldnt have to do any sewing and hold it in place with the pocket velcro
After some use, I have decided that I want my whoopie sling bury to be farther out on the hammock line.. I wanted to know if you thought there was a problem for me to unthread the bury and place it a...
I followed phatpenguins lead with another modification.
I have a clark and am still working out the ridgeline question. Instead of a ring above the bury in phatpenquins drawing, I added a small...
It looks to me like the tricam is correct though I might have preferred it in the crack a little deeper.
Remember, that before all of the cams, the Brits used rocks that they carried to place into...
I thought that the pluq weighed about 16 oz. I think for a synthetic uq you are not going to get much lighter in weight or bulk.
Has anyone tried the IX in between. if you left the ends open on a...
I am guessing that the volume for your setup is reasonably close to the same if you used the z liner.
I have also come to the same conclusion that i cannot manage a smaller volume pack with the...
These ideas appear to be the best solutions so far for the Clark. Unfortunately we have all come up with the descending ring ~16" from the end of the hammock which forces us to use trees almost 3'...
I have the same question. It seems like whether it is an UQ or z-liner it is basically the same amount of material , climashield and ripstop, and it packs down to the same volume. The UQ allows for...
The clark is different from the other hammocks because the ridgeline has to hang higher to support the weather shield. This means the descending ring has to be about 20" away from the end of the...
I have been going in circles trying to figure out the best way to have a structural ridgeline, whoopie slings, and use the stock clark tarp.
When I place a descending ring where the ridgeline...
Thank you,
the video was incredible and I really appreciate the depth of experience that you are all so willing to share.
It seems like a ucr makes more sense because it uses less rope. I understand that it is more prone to slippage. Is that because all of the force is on a single line while only half the force goes to...
I wasn't sure if you can create the zing it prussik loop with a double fishermans knot or does it have to be spliced. I am imagining it is tough to splice that thin a line.
Thanks,
Steven
With wide pads how do you deal with the crimp up on the sides. Do you cut out notches? I always assumed that was why SPE were suggested.
thanks
with such a wide pad, do you have curling problems on the edges.
I have heard some people cut segments out of the edges so the pads lays flatter inside the hammock.
Does anyone have any experience with Z liners. I understand that they attach to the velcro in the pockets and wanted to confirm that they wrap around enough to keep your shoulders warm.
It seems...
I want to use whoopie slings on my clark hammock. I also want an adjustable ridgeline. The problem is that the ridgeline cannot attach at the end of the hammock. On the Clark it has to attach about...
I have a loop on the end of my tree strap.
What is the argument against using a girth hitch to attach a spike to the loop instead of a marlin hitch on the running length of the strap.
I think...
