Was hoping that the modularity and ridgelines would be useful but the curves don't work with my body.
I've only hung this to try it out (not slept in it)
Standard Banyan double layer in...
no clue. i'm 215ish.
Ok. So 1 extension (chameleon) = bueno. 2 extensions (Banyon) = no bueno (the top bar starts to buckle) 188462
They gave me the same line they gave you earlier about saving it for warranty etc...after some disagreement and discussion they agreed to sell me a replacement pole (not sure if it's a single section...
It's odd you received a no on the extensions... i asked the same question in oct 21 and got a different answer.

Sure! We sell replacement Nomad Ridgepoles for $25.00 + shipping /...
I thought the prototype tensa was carbon...
Some are folded up on the top of a shelf in the close, some are in breathable storage bags, some are unzipped and on the guest bed laid flat. I wouldn't stress too much as long as it's not stored...
I have always chosen to get 1 side of a quilt ( or sleeping bag) made in black so that in the morning, when I lay it out in the sun to air out prior to packing up camp it gets a little more solar...
Where from? I saw the schill sack video (a Dutch made double ended Cuban fiber hammock sack with a steak pocket on the outside) but I've never seen it for sale.

Ive looked as detailed as i could...no drip lines. What are they made of for me to work out some on my own?
Agreed. IF you can, have the pockets made long enough for your stakes...one less thing to grab.
I just had the UGQ guys make the opposite of this for me (HG said no, despite it being for a HG TQ): a footbox insert (i use a wide tq, so there is some extra space inside.) It's a 40 degree stuffed...
I had a similar idea earlier this year: to take the sea to summit sleeping pads and where they are dot welded together, punch out a hole for airflow. I imagine you can only use their ultralight pads...
Mitten hooks on bungie for me.
I will say for others choosing to do this: poles have a few different ways of attaching the shock cord. some are attached to the pole tips, some are attached to internal support that butts up...
I've been playing with poles too, ended up trimming some down to fit...

Small pipe cutter, a deburring tool and a file (not shown) allows easy trimming.

I've been struggling to find a concrete answer to a question I have regarding the eldorado...can you convert the eldorado to a blackbird by changing out the bug netting for a blackbird top?

Oh...the clip goes with the elastic loop actually....clips it to the grosgrain.

Don't get me wrong...i don't feel slighted or anything regarding this...just wanted to make sure that cutting the ring off wasn't a functional decision regarding the clip usage. As for weight...
So are you saying that these are functionally cast offs from your whoopie sling production?

I recently received a RR as well but didnt get the black cords. (i do find the bungie cord at the head nice...seems to make it easier to zip the bug net closed when not in the hammock)
So...why do yall cut the eye off the mitten hooks that your products ship with?
Thanks! That's a huge help. Any idea of the real world battery life?

I do that with the hammock suspension (but orange). Haven't gotten around to finding the right color sbiner for the uq.

When you add these back, you may consider adding a bead or something else to the suspension to easily Id the head. I've been fond of a small peice of red heat shrink. Example is of my stuff sack...
Ordered a quest a week or two ago along with a burrow econ 40...had trouble deciding between the quest and the journey...decided today to go ahead and get the journey too!

Ditto. I also have one setup with a tarpfly and the wasp is far superior. I will say if you use a WB tarp or any tarp that has split rings for the RL tieout you can skip the soft shackle and just...
I had the same question and contacted WB regarding. Their suggestion was to skip both and do a mountainfly with a 13' Ridgeline.

On a blue blaze at trail while driving back from Nashville on the 10th. Low of 23 and I was super comfy with my older HG 20° top and under quilts.
Ended up getting to the spot around 1030 and...
Recently received a 13' mountainfly per recomendarion from WB and it does a terrific job of covering the entire hammock from Apex buckle to Apex buckle.
I'm actually surprised that they dont...
Thanks to this thread I've purchased a basic accurite that is rather ideal for what it's used for...can anyone tell me what the min and Max time frame is? (Rolling 24 or???). Some day I'll invest in...
You may want to hold off on selling your uq, but rather find a way to work with it...there are other factors that may come into play in the future like realitivly humidity, what you've done all day,...
Made a pair for my little ones so they can have something like dad's Burrow ended up taking 2 rows off a side and 2 off the top with some restuffing of down for the draft tubes. The snaps are mostly...
yeah i've read many of the other threads trying to find information: they all focus on weight and compress-ability. Lets say you only car camp: aside from weight and compress-ability (and water...
Howdy from the CLT!
Which is more comfortable for you to sleep in: down or synthetic insulation? Assume all things are equal : temp rating, weight, size etc...which is do you find more comfortable?
I've personally...
The weight savings is an appeal; even over carbon fiber it saves the weight of the poles. I could see other reasons as well: some of the appeal for me is the novelty; "hey guys check this out", some...
Yeah I read about the camera mount mod...it's not what I'm getting at. I don't want to give up the wonder of leki style grips, rather something to insert into the lower two sections of a 3 section...
