Bridge hammocks might work well for you. They give a flat lay with spreader bars.
In my WBBB XLC I sleep on my left side with feet to the right and the side pull out keeps the fabric out of my face. The underquilt suspension then pulls it back into my face and the hammock side...
Looks AWESOME! And sounds like it will be a great price. I'm a big fan of hammocks, tarps and tents. If my wife would let me I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Very lite and simple. It's perfect.
Personally, I've found it to be correct. I usually shoot for 13 to 15 feet max with my WBBB XLC so I can hang my hammock suspension high enough on the tree to get the 30 degree angle to the hammock.
That is awesome! Thanks for the photos.
I believe I saw spools of webbing at Scheels with the climbing gear. Some nylon and some poly. If u have a Scheels I'm sure it's at a good price.
The condensation from my breath and body accumulated on the top inside the winter top cover and came loose snowing down on me when I got out of the hammock in the morning. It was actually kinda funny...
Noooooo. I use the Superfly tarp as well. And an underquilt protector around my underquilt. I pull out all the good gear for cold weather trips. LOL.
I used the winter top cover on every winter trip where temps were 30's and below and it really helped to keep my upper body and face warm. I had a huge condensation problem and got snowed on in side...
A couple things might help.
Make sure your hammock suspension lines are hanging at a 30 degree angle. Lay in the hammock and see if you can grab the structural ridgeline and bend it. If it's too...
It might work really well if converted into the Hug Half Bug net style. There are a lot of DIY instructions for it online and I think this forum link will help.
...
I just recently got the pole mod set from Dutch but haven't got a chance to try it out yet. Here the link to his kit. They are super lite and give you a lot more room inside without having to tie the...
That is an awesome question. I actually started with mine under the tarp and hung a small light on the line which gave me the perfect lighting. But in my first rain storm, water soaked the line and...
A little while back I did a video on The Warbonnet Cinch Buckle system. I got fed up with whoopies because they were just too difficult to adjust after I had unloaded everything into my hammock. ....
I have adequate coverage for my WBBB XLC with the WB Superfly 11 footer. I think it gives me about 11 inches of overlap on each end. I'd love the extra coverage of a 12 footer but already invested in...
I have the 20 incubator long with over stuff to get it to 10F and did everything you just listed (zero bag for topquilt, hot water bottle, foam pad under butt and eat/drank hot foods and walked...
I just weighed it again to check. I have a cheap crappy Walmart kitchen scale so it's possible it's off a bit but it still says about 3 oz. You might want to contact Arrowhead equipment to check with...
I just got the Hug Half Bug Net the one Sqidmark listed above. I think it is only 3 ounce and packs down really small. It can be set up over or under your hammocks structural ridgeline. It's easy to...
My Superfly worked awesome with heavy rain blowing at the doors on my first night using it. I learned that night to not camp on a rocky peak with great views in crappy weather. LOL. And not to run a...
Kinda looks like a cross between a Kelty Noah tarp and a DD tarp. Not too bad. It might make a good starter tarp for anyone low on cash.
I had also done some searches on this. I didn't want to invest too much more on my winter set up so far as buying a zero top and bottom quilt and after doing some experimenting I think the gray full...
I think the knot your looking for is the Farrimond Friction Hitch/knot. Just do a quick search for it in the forum. Should get a diagram for tying it.
Head to the left of the ridgeline and you should be good.
I still mix it up and camp in my tarp tents and in my hammocks. When ever I have my hammock it seems just like you said there are a lot of good tent spots but it takes a while to find those perfect...
I sleep with feet to the right and move around a lot. I go from kinda facing the right to laying on my back and then half fetal facing the left. Since I use a WBBB XLC I have the sides of the hammock...
I had a simple experience with heavy wind AND heavy rain all night. The ground was so rocky our stakes would not stay in the ground. The trees we were attached to swayed (new and weird experience for...
The Warbonnet Superfly has an 11 foot ridgeline and has served me well in my XLC. I'm not sure but I think I have a 12 inch overlap on each end of the hammock. I just recently used my winter top...
They work so well I'm surprised Dutch doesn't sell them. [emoji12]
Could try the Shane method.

This is the what I've been using on my Superfly tie outs and they held up in some really...
You might try using shock cord to tie on a secondary suspension system like what Hammock Gear uses on all their underquilts. I have a 3/4 quilt and a PLUQ and I move around a lot at night. The quilt...
I second GadgetUK437's suggestion. I had a bad calf ridge in my 11' Dutch Hexon hammock and fiddled with it all night. I finally tried lowering the head end about a foot down on the tree (foot end...
My favorite suspension system. Simple, quick and works flawlessly. The cinch buckle won't let you down.
I think after adding the climasheild insulation I got the PLUQ down to 29F but ya, I wouldn't take it to 14F. But it's amazing what a small piece of closed cell foam under your butt and a hot water...
I hammock camped out in the Black Hills of South Dakota last weekend and it got down to 14F by 3 am. I'm very much looking forward to the toasty 50's and 60's coming the next months. But my HG 20...
I'm with Shug and SilvrSurfr. For winter months in South Dakota I've been using my HG Incubator 20 with over stuff and a Kelty zero down sleeping bag for my top quilts and have been toasty. I've been...
Arrowhead Equipment carries a sap sack here http://www.arrowhead-equipment.com/store/p412/Sap_Sack.html
I know this isn't helpful but I had a difficult time readjusting my whoopies too. After laying in the hammock if I wanted to then readjust them they just had too much tension to loosen without having...
My personal opinion is that the longer the hammock the flatter the lay. I'm 6 ft and a 12 ft hammock gives me the best lay with no hyperextended knees.
I just rechecked my lines to make sure and they are set up like the photo on the right. It should look like the first photos posted in the thread. My first night out with them I mistakenly camped on...
It looks like in the picture on the left you just have the line lock oriented down. It should be oriented up like in the photo on the right so the zing it can lock into the channel. Run the shock...
Brilliant!
All the suspension is run through channels on the half of the PLUQ that your laying on. The other half of the PLUQ that we sewed the climasheild onto hangs loose. To create more baffling for that...
You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
Thanks bro. I just re sewed it to make more baffle. Still don't think I have enough baffle yet. I also had to re do the suspension system to get rid of air gaps. Hopefully it works and I'll do a...
Your welcome.

I just did a video for my Outdoors/Backpacking YouTube channel with step by step instructions on how I added a yard of 6.0 ounce weight Climashield insulation to a DIY No Sew Poncho Liner...
Thanks bro. Yay. They are really easy to make and not very expensive. And of course you can slide in some additional insulation in between the layers if needed. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
The reflectix slid in between the layers of the PLUQ should work pretty well. You just want to make sure you don't have a gap between your butt and the underquilt while your laying in the hammock. If...
Awesome list bro. I do have one to add. Last year I did a detailed video on how to make a DIY No Sew Poncho Liner Underquilt. It's up on my YouTube channel https://youtu.be/vsWOelVXuoI and I do have...
Thanks Boothill for an awesome hammock camping weekend. Here is a link to my YouTube channel's video introducing the Black Hill Hang.
