Made my TD stand today and have questions on hanging it on the stands. The XLC is 11 foot. Will the standard length fence pole be too short. Its 10 for and some change. Am I going to need more length...

I bought the line Warbonnet sells, 1.75 single braid dyneema.
Hey, WV I'm just down the road in Mason county, up your way all the time.
Yeah I'm asking.
Going to hang my WB XLC this week including the SF tarp.
Watched the video Brandon did on the SF and have my tarp lines, question is what type of knot/loop should I be...
Ordered a set from Daniel (eBay) as well.
Bought 2 inflatable pillows, klymit brand to try out.
Got my Dutch bling the other day, (stingerz, level).
Going to be new years before I can get it set up. Going for a few days hiking, NYE party. I'll report back then.
WB is doing another sale...
Got my shipping info Friday, should be here Monday!
I just thought while I was spending money and the top covers are made to the specific hammock I'd just add it as well.
Dutch order going in today. Its only money!:scared:
Ordered a WB XLC DL 1.7 and top cover while I was at it.
Picked up a Super Fly and ArrowHead New Rive UQ from last years black Friday sales.
So get ready for a ton of questions I'm...
Site says it ends Sunday night.
Alright, I'll spend the money once and cry once.
I'll go 11 foot and looking at Dream no wider than 60", that should be good yes?
WB looks to be no option width.
Choices!
Been covered, I'm sure. My search-fu is weak!:)
Anyway, I stand 5'10" and weigh around 180.
Looking at either a Dream or WB.
I'm concerned about length, builders state 10 foot up to a 6...
Been a while!:D
Buying my first real hammock this year.
Look at the Arrowhead Equipment New River as well.
Great product, great price!
Thanks all, getting some ideas.
Putting up the poles first, to cut some electric costs and get that fresh air smell in my sheets.
Thought while I was at it, I'd see about hanging from...
The traditional "T" top pole.
I'll more than likely build my own. Thought about 4x4's and going down about 3 feet with concrete.
Or 2" pipe, pipe that size gets real pricey though!
Going to put in new clothes line poles out in the back yard.
So, anyone try and hang off these? I'm looking at least 6 tall and 10 to 15 feet apart.
Or any perfect height distance to hang...
I bought one from Arrowhead Equipment, being new to hammocks, for the price, it was worth it to me buy a pre made ridgeline.
I bought Kammock Python straps over ENO straps, even though I bought an ENO DN.
It's my starter set up, learning all the ins and outs of hanging.
I do have a WB Super Fly and Arrowhead New...
I've never had a sil nylon piece before. It was packed so pretty! LoL
I got 'er back in the sack no problem!
Received my SF a day early.
Now to figure out the set up.
I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get it back in the bag!
Got my notice as well this morning.
Superfly, spool of guyline and pegs.
Eh, its a review, and reviews are pretty much just an opinion anyway. :)
Putting together my hammock set up, so far:
WB Superfly and accessories, (guyline, stakes)
REI- Kammock Python straps and new Black Diamond 'biners
Need an UQ now
Thanks
Knots are a hobby of mine, even though I do good to tie my shoes.:D
Superfly, guyline and stakes for me.
The ENO will have quality cover!:D
Have the app on my Samsung Note 2.
Works perfect and looks good on the "big screen"!:D
Thanks guys,
What I plan on doing is more along the lines of "truck camping" and would love to get into backpacking.
I will hit the WV hang next year hopefully!
Spent the evening looking...
Been a while, last weekend I strolled into an outdoor shop and walked out with an ENO Doublenest and bug screen. Shop was blowing out all gear for the winter, and I bought both for $100.00.
My...
Been a long time since I stopped by!
Glad I caught this, you all accept West Virginia people!?:D I'm about an hour from Zaleski.
No hammock yet though, I've got one on order though. So is...
I'd say me and a co worker or 2 would be good for a week end trip if it's open to non members.
Never been but, from what I've read and heard Zaleski has a lot to offer for a week end trip....

So I need to add guylines for the tarp (only)?
Biners or dutch clips as well. Which is easier to work with?
And snake skins, not fimilar with these
Thanks again
Hate to keep asking the same questions but, as my first hammock I know you guys understand!:D
I'm sold on the WB BB!
I'm planning on the BB 1.7 double layer with the adjustable webbing...
Thanks all!
The Dolly Sods trip may be a possibility as well.
Correct on the firefighter as well as paramedic and PICU RN part time.
Hey all!
New guy from West Virginia. Former Boy Scout that never lost the love of hiking, camping and backpacking. Now in my 40's I'm looking to get into all the above again! :) I never really...
Sorry! Found comparisons of the Claytor and Warbonnet!
