Sup Brock, what's the length?

Thats a good idea.
Another thing to keep in mind is that a DCF tarp doesn't have as much give as a woven fabric tarp.
This is one of the reasons why I choose a CRL for my tarps. During very windy conditions, I have seen the trees that I'm connected to sway in opposing directions, which creates a lot of tension on...
Fixed?
If 2 separate lines, do you think that contributed to the tarp ripping?
Man that sux. Did you use a continuous ridgeline for the tarp, or separate lines off each end of the tarp?
Maybe I'm seeing this wrong, but the first 3 pics show your Incubator with a black outer shell, while your receipt description says green outer shell. Perhaps I took the wrong meds this morning?
Thank You George.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Hope to be hanging with you in 2020.
Loco Libre's Ridge Reapers are awesome. I have 2 of them, and am very happy with them. Very warm.
Brandon explains it in his video titled "The Ridgerunner", on the Warbonnet Outdoors website.
WoW. Stunning scenery. Thanks for sharing.
TRACKER!!!
The lines are more than likely Dacron. Can you post a close up pic of the line? What diameter is the chute, and what is the weight of the recovery payload?
Loco Libre Gear is another great vendor that offers fully custom sub zero top and under quilts.
They offer unique designs that help keep the down where it belongs, which is especially helpful...
I'll take the Exos.
On the outside of the quilt, under the bottom of the footbox, there are 2 pieces of webbing with toggles attached. --You can see pics of this on their website.--
The idea is to poke 2 holes into...
There are some quilts on the market that do not have the ends of the baffle material sewn to the shell material. This will allow you to move the down between baffles. This may or may not apply to...

Yes, I can confirm the weight on mine is very accurate to their specs.
I am happy with the quilt, and would recommend it to others.
Another +1 for the 12' Camo Winter Palace. Very nice.
Beautiful pics. Thanks for sharing.
The Ridge Reaper by Loco Libre Gear. Worth the wait.

Very nice! Thanks for doing this.
Incase you didn't realise, it's the (proper length) bury that takes the load, not the lock stitch.
The lock stitch is there to hold the bury in place while there is no load on the line.

Sure, just make your eye with an appropriately sized bury, then lock stitch it.
The wife and I hang side by side with a RR and an XLC. We look for a 3 tree set up, or 2 trees, with one of them being a bigger diameter. It works fine.
Sometimes it takes a bit longer to find the...
For a Rev H.E. 950 40* Reg XWide, 10D out, 7D in, EE's site shows a weight of 13.40 oz. So you're close there.
Like mentioned above, I would try to distribute the down more evenly.
If they were made of carbon fiber, then Ruta Locura is a great vendor to deal with.
Speak with Josh to determine proper diameter for your set up.
HG doesn't have a sewn seem, cuz they are taped together. Material is still only 54" wide.
Is there a fix for this?
I like the Orvis selfie.
Do you mean heading East towards Slide?
There is a nice area on the col between Woodland Valley and CR 47. You'll know it when you come across it. Basically, it's the top of the hill on the climb...
Didn't Sgt. Rock have a sub 1lb hammock, bugnet tarp set up?

Its in the mail. Enjoy.
Hi, I have some black 1.75mm from Dutchware that you can have. I don't need anything in return. Just PM me your mailing address and I'll get it in the mail to you this am. Thanks.
Purchased from where?, which brand?
Sounds like a great trip. Enjoy.
You could wrap a line around a carabiner to shorten its length. Each wrap shortens the line a little more. Just measure the line length before and after to get an idea of many wraps are needed.

Remember to add some drip lines to your suspension. :shades:
Going from 10% solution to .5% solution,
10 % ÷ 20 = .5 %
128 oz (1 gl) ÷ 20 = 6.4 oz
Take 1 gal of water, remove 6.4 oz of water, replace with 6.4 oz of (10%) permethrin, = .5% solution....

Looks like it might be time to become a donating member.
As do I. Mine is the 30* H.E. at 13.05 ozs.
I would also really appreciate seeing a closeup of the ridge line tie-outs and the corner tie-outs of each of these tarps.

most packable, lowest volume TQ
Currently, I would recommend an EE Enigma TQ (reg or H.E. version) with 950fp and 7D fabric in and out, sized to your body. Expensive but packs down small and light....
