Hey everyone! This is Harry and I've had the pleasure of being the customer service representative for Hammock Gear for over 7 years, among a variety of other responsibilities. After today I will...
We are so glad to hear that :D Thank you so much!
Thanks for spreading the word :D
Yeeeesss!! Glad you're slowly getting out there!
That's so hard to hear :( Flooding has been pretty serious lately
Wow! That's certainly some rain! We're so glad to hear it kept you high and dry :)
Sometimes the ups and downs in temps can affect things like adhesive. I doubt the fabric would have an issue, but temperature controlled areas also see less mold growth and bugs.
Nailed it! As long as its dry, Dyneema can be stored in a cool, dry spot.
Shaaaaawing
Haha, nice :D
Rest up and we hope you recover soon :D
Haha, thanks for posting the pic! I still stand by my statement ;) Its a super popular color, though.
Its crazy! We're working on resolving that issue, but Dyneema has been slammed like so many other manufacturers out there.
Thanks so much! I hope its not too painful, but we really appreciate your patience :)
Yep! Those will help
Glad we could help!!
It's tough to tell how often down will lose its loft, especially in a 40 degree quilt which doesn't have a ton of loft to begin with. Reach out to our email with some pictures, and we'll be happy to...
Definitely email us with your trip date (if you haven't already), and I'll make sure it arrives beforehand! Its always tough to match names on here with orders, so I apologize that I don't have an...
Totally understandable! So glad you were warm with it :)
Yay! Thanks again for your patience! Have fun out there!
Apologies you had to modify it! Its possible it was made too short, but keep us posted on how you like the quilt. We don't want you stuck with something you don't use or enjoy.
Sounds good! Keep us posted :)
You could also try shortening the primary suspension at your head end to help pull the quilt closer to your head. Tie a knot in the main line that runs the full length of the underquilt, and clip...
Thank you all for your patience :) It means the world to us as we continue to work through these crazy times.
We don't have one planned due to being inundated with orders, unfortunately; however, we do have a military & first responder discount year round to honor those of you who serve or have served. ...
Thanks so much :)
Typically, tarp hardware is used as the fail point, rather than allowing those forces to tear your tarp. Dyneema has some of the highest tear strength to weight ratio of any material out there, so...
If a Lineloc were to break, or a D-Ring as well, use the fabric loop the hardware is connected to. Some tarps out there only have a fabric loop, so it will work well. Once you get back, reach out...
Fantastic writeup!!
Nice! We look forward to hearing about which you prefer :) Super cold weather can definitely make a difference in useability, etc.
We hope you get a chance to use the new gear when it arrives :) Thank you so much for your patience!
Could you email us some pictures? My email is below in my signature. With an 11 ft hammock, there should be plenty of wiggle room to make adjustments.
They'd be great for that!
These are all great suggestions! The suspension on our underquilts is designed for 11 ft hammocks, so all you'd really need to do is extend that shock cord a little bit to connect it to the ends of...
As others have suggested, I'd use a mini carabiner. That should get it connected for you. Let us know if you run into any issues!
Yep! I use Dutch's CRL with Soft Shackles on my tarp :) Works great!
Definitely not rated for climbing. Less than 1 kN
Definitely let us know :) We can absolutely add down to your quilt. If it was a new order and it's missing down in a chamber, we definitely want to get that fixed for you. Just reach out to us at...
Thank you so much! :D
We hope you enjoy the gear and especially a warm nap when they arrive :) Thank you!
We appreciate you all ordering and being so patient with us! A lot of outdoor gear companies, especially cottage companies, are slammed this time of year. This year especially.
Whoa! Super cool :) Glad you're liking the Economy version!
Yep, I totally do that with my 40 degree quilts. We'll ship them with their own storage bags, but you can realistically just put them in 1
We priced our Kits, both the Wanderlust and Wanderluxe, with a built in savings of approximately 20-25% off retail (buying all the items separately), so we most likely will not put these items on...
Thank you so much! If there's anything else we can do for you, always feel free to reach out to us.
Love it!
Thanks for the responses all! Great stuff. Also keep in mind that's just the size of the stuff sack we provide with the quilt. You can always compress them a bit further if you'd like with a...
We are ;)
Yay! Looks like they're enjoying them!
Definitely let us know if you run into any issues! We're always looking to improve our gear :)
