Thanks for the input, the UQ sold for $185 on Reddit. I haven't made a decision on the other stuff yet.
I'm moving from a Hammock to my Amok Draumr so I can finally sleep on my stomach. I'm going to be moving out some gear and want to be fair with my pricing. Any help would be appreciated. This is not...
I had to do a quickie setup at home and used my Summer Sock on the ground with an air mattress in it. I thought it was pretty cozy, light weight and possibly a decent setup with a tarp for...
Thanks Shug, I love your videos, they're very helpful for new hammockers  like me.
I have a good setup with a Dutchware 11' single layer but the sad reality is that I'm way more comfortable stomach sleeping or side sleeping. I have top and under quilts and a decent tarp, I'm...
All this chat about going to ground and no one has mentioned Trekking Treez or the Tensa Solo. https://www.tensaoutdoor.com/product-category/trekking-treez/
I have to say I got way more feedback than I expected. Thank you everyone for your opinions. I did go with a zippered footbox for now.
Thanks all. That's what I was looking for. I'm generally 3 season right now and I keep a Costco down throw in my pack so I can always stuff it down there of need be. So I'll probably go with a...
I got a small bonus at work and I want to use use part of it to grab a quality top quilt. I currently have a sleeping bag that the zipper broke on and I sewed a footbox into it.
I grabbed a used...
You know after watching that video, I'm going to try that continuous loop with the diamond knot. It looks very handy.
Thanks all! I'll probably start with the double fisherman until I end up on the ground.
Thanks for the dimensions, it's not a woven line but a strand from a much larger Spectron (kevlar) line from a ship.
All righty hangers, I'm currently hanging in a Dutchware netless that I got without loops. I ran whoopie slings through the channels and hitched it back on it self. I'm considering a Tensa 4 or...
Man how did I miss this thread? I'm in Oxford so I'm reasonably close if I'm not out in the boat for work.
I'm well aware that this is a private forum and we're here as guests. That being said will we be able to have a civil discussion of the lawsuit between Dutchware and Rip Stop By the Roll?
Depending on the rating of your UQ you can use a lighter top. I only have 1 UQ and its a 20* one so I just use one of the Black Diamond throws from Costco as a top blanket and I've been very comfy.
This is what I did (larks head) with the exception of also slinging my ridgeline at the same time.
I'll take it. PayPal sent.
I sent you a PM.
I had a catastrophic failure of the zipper on my REI Polar Pod (long) that I parlayed along with my dividend into a new down bag. So since the bag is in great shape minus the zipper I want to modify...
I should have known there would be other MCBers here.
That will be easy, but it would only be for a photo op. I'll have something in about a month.
Yeah I went with tree a tee straps and whoopies because of Shugs videos. In a sense you could say this is his fault.
That sounds great, unfortunately I'll be on the boat that weekend. This is a recurring saying when trying to for things in my schedule.
Hello from CT!
I'm Tug and I'm trying to get off the ground as much as I can for camping and have an 11' Dutchware netless on the way. I bought the whoppie slings and a ridgeline for it as well as...
So yes I'm new to hammock camping but a seasoned old salt when it come to knots and webbing.
So I see many hangers use a carabiner to loop their tree strap around the tree. Why not just tie a...
There's nothing better than hearing it from the source. May i suggest putting a quick blub on your site stating something along those lines? A Google search doesn't even bring up your name or the...
I wanted to jump on one of these but being new I hesitated. So now I'm wondering if there is a rough timeframe when they'll be available to the public? I can't find any mention of them on the site.
So if I'm planning on a Ripstop by the roll DIY and was going to whip it then I could leave it at the 12' length it comes in and should be fine? Could I use the Amsteel from the kit to whip it...
