Hey guys!
We've listed the Highland Appalachian Hammock just now on closeout.
This is a wider (70"), lighter version of the Original made with 1.6 oz HyperD.
Still made in USA (Georgia to...
Awesome Wayne thank you!
Sewn panels. These were actually made before Ripstop by the Roll came out with the first XL hammock fabric (1.6 HyperD XL).
There's actually another hammock we haven't listed yet...

It's wider (70") and lighter (made with 1.6 HyperD). We'll post that up soon as everything is ready.
Some people may know this, but before there was Ripstop by the Roll, there was Appalachian Hammock.
App Hammock was started by my brother and I in 2011 above my parents garage. When we couldn’t...
We've done the 1.1 oz Silpoly PU4000 in some other camos before, but there wasn't a lot of demand to be honest.
Given that and the long list of new additions, capabilities, etc that we're working...
Yeah that's not correct. My apologies and we'll get those numbers updated in the morning. If you're looking for a comparison, the MTN 7D sil has about 2x the tear strength of the 0.9 oz MEMBRANE...
Here's how I would summarize the comparison between 1.2 and 1.3...
Unless that slight increase in weight (0.1 osy) trumps everything else for you personally, the 1.3 is a significantly better...
This has now arrived...

We will not be restocking the 1.2 oz as the 1.3 oz is meant to be the exact same thing as the 1.2 (construction, hand feel, etc), just beefed up slightly to 1.3 osy and using NYLON 6.6 yarn.
The #1 request since launching 1.0 MONOLITE? More colors in 1.0 MONOLITE ...

NEW additions include: Burnt Orange, Hunter Green, Royal Purple, and Charcoal Gray
For those on the...
For the most part, yes. However, in some cases, designs originally made for fabric have to be modified (e.g. sized down) to "look right" on webbing. Print On-Demand and custom upload are not...
After a 6+ month sabbatical, printed webbing is back

We've restocked all the favorites and added some brand new ones as well.
In exchange for your patience, please use code...
We've just started to weave more of the 1.2 MTN XL, so unfortunately it will be a little bit. The XL fabrics are all a bit tricky to keep supplied since everything is done custom with high production...
Yes eventually. I think a 1.2-1.3 osy would be nice.
Presenting our official, yet unofficial, slightly subjective hammock fabric comparison chart.....

We've...
Thanks for sharing Mike! To your point on "slickness", we totally agree. It is very different from other fabs in terms of friction between you and the hammock. For me personally, I've always hated...
We're just comparing similar weight hammock fabrics for now - 1.6 oz HyperD, 1.7 oz MTN XL, and 1.8 oz AIRWAVE.
We're working to get the comparison chart and data sheet up tonight, but the *suggested weight rating for a single layer hammock in 1.8 oz AIRWAVE will be set at 400 lbs.
*DISCLAIMER - Note that...
The original swatch shown in the teaser was the sample we started with for development. We took that base yarn and wove a completely new fabric from scratch, primarily tuned with hammocks in mind.

Beat me to it :). No the tiny loops don't make it "snaggy". They create the hand feel.
Here's a quick look at the colors we'll be releasing with the new line :)

I'm currently on the other side of the world where it's midnight (and I'm pretty tired), but thought I'd drop this here... Official and long awaited announcements coming soon :)

DH has been very, very patiently waiting on a restock of this webbing since we stopped doing custom printed webbing last year. However, I can tell you that they should have a new batch incoming very...
We have a long list of new things to release, but the #1 request has easily been this kit in OutdoorINK Printed Fabric.

Just like we did last time, these will launch at 20% OFF (no...
Just a reminder that the launch sale ends tonight..... 15% OFF if you order by midnight EST with code "MONO-15".

Couple other things to consider:
1) Strength - Weight rating will be 200 lbs. We've tested it with more than that of course, but we'd rather less people buy this fabric than have a bunch of folks...
It's more expensive than standard noseeum yes, but in terms of performance, there's is absolutely no comparison. Less snagging, better sewability, off the charts durability, etc.
Plus, you could...
We're putting 200 lbs on it. We've tested it with more than that of course, but we'd rather less people buy this fabric than have a bunch of folks pushing limits and winding up disappointed. At the...
I don't have specific numbers for the NS50, but we tested a 20D noseeum mesh like our 0.9 oz Noseeum to a CFM of ~1300. So this is slightly less air permeable, but honestly these numbers are all...
The breathability of noseeum mesh combined with the durability of fabrics twice as heavy. Today we're extremely proud to introduce 1.0 oz MONOLITE Ripstop Nylon Mesh to the community...

>> Introducing the Roll Top Dry Bag Kit w/ Dyneema Composite Fabric
This is one we've had on the list for quite some time, so we're excited to finally...
One of the things we'll be doing in 2019 is producing real data sheets for most of our stock program fabrics. These data sheets will give you a bunch of information on the fabric, all in one spot.
...
Looking good :). Glad to see these back in the lineup.
Just before the holiday break, we happened to receive a short supply of discounted Dyneema Composite Fabric from DSM.
Since Dyneema is expensive enough already, we decided to pass the savings on...
Yes for both. Although with all the new things we have in production right now, it will likely be a few months.
No problem and good question. Here's my short list:
1. Better durability - This was the very first thing I noticed when we began testing the MONOLITE. When you abrade most 1.0 osy fabrics, it's...
Yep. We'll add it to the list soon as it's available for purchase on the site.
Oh definitely. With the MONOLITE, you could create an integrated bugnet hammock where the mesh and hammock body material are identical. I'm thinking of doing that myself.
No, but the MONOLITE would not make a good overcover as it roughly offers the same wind resistance as noseeum mesh.
CORRECTION: I was just informed that the colors are Dark Olive, Black, and Moroccan Blue :)
Dark Olive, Black, and Charcoal Gray...
Correct. We have two new hammock fabrics coming out. This thread has started to contain info on both - the now announced MONOLITE and the yet to be announced FABRIC X.
Extremely breathable... The air permeability of the new MONOLITE 1.0 is around 1000 CFM. To put that in perspective, our 1.6/1.7 HyperD and MTN series hammock fabrics are somewhere around 50 CFM.

I think it's both for a couple reasons:
Lighter Outer - Obviously, it's lighter than 0.9 oz 15D options. It's heavier than some 10D options like M10 nylon taffeta, but with the high-density...
The first weaving and production run will be standard width... That being said, there is other good news to share. We've gotten the go ahead trademark wise, so we'll be revealing details on exactly...
We have not. I'm not sure we have the same affinity for risk as you do Bill :). Although I wouldn't expect it to ultimately bear more weight than the M10 nylon taffeta. The extra 0.09 osy is coming...
Four years ago, we introduced MEMBRANE 10 nylon taffeta as our lightest, softest, and most downproof fabric ever.
Since then, we've searched the globe for a 10 denier ripstop to match. A fabric...
Glad we could come through for you! Good luck with the build and let us know if you need anything.
Not 30 days for info... I've already got you on the hook for the first new one. I wouldn't do that to you a second time :).
Putting together the data sheet tonight. Stay tuned...
