I guess if One-Click doesn't post for a week, I'll have to call in the FBI too....

Pitbull, of course!
With that screen door, all you'll need is a beat up couch and a case of PBR!
Be a rebel and just go for it! You've been planning this trip since last August, so you've had plenty of time to plan. In a pinch, just pull up in someones backyard and see if they'd be willing to...
That would be interesting to see. I've always been a gathered end fan, but I've checked out a couple of the bridge hammocks at group hang and there's something about the overall length of the...
Some people just move on to different interests or check out from social media/forums or an online presence....email addresses change too. I did some searching on HF and this same discussion was...
Looks like a nice getaway from the craziness. Sometimes to quick, low mileage trips are all you need to recharge the batteries of life.
Looking good. Wow, that garage is clean compared to the mess I have out in mine. Never thought about hanging in the garage, but what the heck.
I've never had any issues or worries about burning my silnylon hot tent down. The chimney vents from the side about 6 feet out with a spark arrestor/cap. But, I could easily see how things can get...
Nice job! I've got an Enigma and Revelation from Tim in Minnesota and those look pretty darn close.
Hats off to you on your diy skills. I'm still in the simple stuff sack stage of thread...
This might be of help:

By golly, that's it! I think you've hit the proverbial nail on the head. Now, if we could only include guns, politics and religion into the mix we'd be on to something...
I use short shock cord loops tied to reflective tie out cord for my doors on my HG standard with doors and just regular reflective cord for the remaining 4 edge tied outs using line locs. You'll...
There's no right answer...some will say yes to doors and some will say no to doors. It all depends on where you're located and what season your hanging in.
Personally, I've got multiple tarps in...
Mine too! They are even hanging at a safe distance to each other. [emoji4].
Amen!
Jeff-oh:. "like" your post. I see that on other forums and it's a nice feature to see who's of the same mindset as you.
Personally, I'm a Facebook holdout and proud of it...
I totally agree with OC. I've been spending some time on a bushcraft forum, with a little more lenient rules on what's allowed to be discussed and have enjoyed the interaction. One thing I do...
Excellent solution and you've proved your idea. If you didn't mind doing some mods to a perfectly good tent, you could rework the end openings to allow you the full use of the doors. I've seen some...
I love seeing this thread get resurrected about this time of spring...makes me look forward to summer backpacking season.
Gee, funny you should ask. It's a nice hike and I've done it a couple times, using a variety of trailheads. Sawdust Hole is pretty cool and there's a shelter option south of High Bridge. For your...
Looks like they'll do the trick if you need to adjust them...otherwise a screw eye in the right spot will work too. My only inside hang spot is in the basement, so I use a ceiling joist in a closet...
Go for it! Bonus points for hanging over a dying fire.:scared:
An autofocusing tarp? Interesting concept but I guess I'm lost as to the application :). Best bet is to keep focused (pun intended) on something tried and true from Hammock Gear. I've got a 11'...
Pictures or it didn't happen[emoji38]
There's a whole bunch of threads over the years on HF that discuss this. Once you've subscribed to some of them, your YouTube feed will offer up lots of suggestions.
Lately, I've been following...
Long term exposure to UV, rain and the elements will compromise the integrity of the fabric.
But, you could always try a cheapo Chinese hammock from Amazon and see what happens.
6 year old thread and it doesn't look like the product is offered anymore. Good Intel on the long term use of it. I'm wondering how it would perform in a winter cllimate like we have here in...
Yesterday, I took a hammock break when I hiked through a closed DNR campground.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200404/30bcb938f1fac74452ed221fc49c1e5c.jpg
Yep. New member as of last week and first post.
I just did that when I hung last night. Swapped out my Voyageur (cold season hammock), for my netted Trail Lair in preparation for backpacking season.
We've had enough of those kind of trips!
Now that's something I'd like to see from Outdoor Ink:. Flame patterned fabric!
After 162 posts on the subject, I dare suggest that it may be time to consider being a ground dweller again. Gee, what could go wrong with that? We'll all sleep in the dirt eventually...
I've found that Lawson line works the best with the linelocks on all of my Jared tarps. Some of the other brands just don't hold as well.
Got any pics of the setup?
#56. Since Jennifer 2.0 is keeping me close to home, I spent the night in the backyard, after taking a morning hike at a nearby state park. Not much different than taking off and going...
This thread might be better suited for "general hammock" discussion since alternative choices are being discussed.
Welcome to the forums. I'd hold off on buying anything until you've had ample opportunity to peruse the forums and get more Intel. Attending a group hang somewhere will also provide the chance to...
I'm not volunteering to test out the addition of flames. I like my hammocks too much[emoji4].
Hey, I think I figured out the optimum way to hang over a dying fire. Took some practice, but I think I nailed it.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200403/68850246332ba6421b493b5cf12f181f.jpg
Welcome to the forums, Michiganman. Gee, I thought I had the monopoly on "Michigan" as a HF name. Enjoy your stay and I'd recommend the extra $10 to become a donating member and gain access to the...
I like your aerial camera rig and sound effects you used! Nothing like some downtime in the hammock, but I'm hoping things are back to normal sooner than later. Dreaming of getting back in the...
To the OP: Could you expand a bit on your gear list that your using, since you might want to revise your profile where you're just using links.
Being wet on a trip is miserable. I had one a...
Looking good. Nice view you have there!
To live such a carefree life...priceless.
Nice thinking outside the box! There's lots of options out there with knots or hardware that you can DIY or purchase from other vendors that work fine or cost less. Of course it's not "bling", but...
Welcome to the forums. Tons of great info here and the extra $10 to become a donating member is well worth it. Lots of great Intel in the secret archives. Get out to a group hang sometime and...
Well, this thread has gone 180 degrees. But the last couple posts are priceless.
Now back to the pros and cons of cheap hammock gear....a topic that had been debated about profusely over the...
Not really on my radar. I have everything I need and what I already have from the various cottage vendors works fine.
