I think I have found what I was looking for. A pen light holder looks about perfect and the belt loop part gives plenty of room for attachment....
Do you have any pictures?
Thanks Joe
Why not a running bowline?

I was wondering if anyone could help me find, and or how to make tent pole pockets. What I am trying to make are the pockets like Clark uses to spread out their hammocks. I'm also looking for a...
I believe they are called decender rings? they are on Amazon or REI I've also attached a pic of the dual ring set up off my Vertx, with the lock, that the single ring will replace.
Thanks Joe
If you have a knotty mod, it will help keep your sleeping back from falling out. My indoor set up consists of a double layer dutch wide with dual knotty mods. I have a memory foam pad set up...
I tried this out last night on my indoor set up. I like it very much, simple, light, and secure! I have been using two rings for the last year, they can and do slip. With the two ring set up, once...
I often sit around thinking about a way to improve this or that, I come up with what I think is a good idea, only to find that it's actually only new to me! With that said I was thinking(warning !)...
Thanks for the info !
Joe
I might take the plunge for that price. Are guys using the 4' length aluminum poles put together for the ridge pole?
Thanks Joe
has anyone tried these fiberglass tent poles for their tripod stand?

You will like the Hyper D XL I like mine, it's got a nice feel against the skin. Not at all like the 1.1 Digital Marpat
Thanks, Joe
I'd like to try one of the Mayan hammocks, they look very comfy, but don't want to end up looking like an aged ham if I stay in it too long! The Brazilian I have is made of cotton and seems very...
I agree with both the above about the stretch. One of my SLD is the 64" 1.1 oz digital marpat and it has more stretch and is every bit as comfy, but I don't like the fabric nearly as much as the...
I have a Paradiso Hammock Double made by Byer of Maine, which I guess could be termed a "traditional" hammock. Had it for some time and used it a lot and for ME, it's more comfortable a little...
The heavier fabric gives more support for me, I've done a lot of weight lifting in the past and I'm very wide shouldered and stocky, I guess bulky works too, although I am a regular runner too! LOL...
I think you will be fine once you get it figured out. I sleep in a hammock most nights, but what works for me may not for anyone else. Fist off, the sag looks to be too much, like others have said....
I wonder if they could make one for a 12' hammock. Looking at the specs, it says 11' I'd try one if they made a longer one.
Thanks, Joe
I'm a towering 5'8" ! I also have two 12' SLD DL now too. One is 72" the other is around 64"-65". Both are the Tree Runner Double layer with nothing more. I have the fronkey style bug nets and...
you won't be disappointed, Jared made me a 12X6 Tree Runner DL a little bit ago. Super fast order completion and shipping and great work. Added a Fronkey style bug net and I'm set.
Versatility ! that is why I got the cinch style foot box. I have one of Georges Loco Libre 20 top quilts and underquilts, I originally in-visioned unsnapping/uncinching the foot box to use as a top...
Thanks for the replies,
I thought about the two disk thing with a down inner disk and something else on the outer end. I'm sure the sock works fine, I was just wondering if there was something...
Hello, for people using a cinched foot box, in cold weather, what do you use to block the little hole in the bottom ? Does anyone make a down piece that you could put in the hole and then cinch it...
you will love that size hammock !
It's very comfy and since the pictures, I've tried it with the Fronkey under it. It works either way. There is also plenty of room between for an underquilt,
Thanks, J
Here ya go!

I wanted to post this link to my version of a camping hammock.
https://hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php/126342-MMG-Insulated-Sock
I didn't post it directly here because it's also a review...
Hello to all,
I wanted to share with you pictures and a short review of my MMG Insulated Sock. For starters, this is my version of a camping hammock and my current favorite.
It starts off as a...
The 1/8" is stronger than the 7/64" that is commonly used for Whoopie slings and continuous loops.
http://samsonrope.com/Pages/Product.aspx?ProductID=872
I tested the loop against a engine hoist...
I'm sure the double would slip, I've tied them with 1/8" Amsteel although it was a triple. Never slipped and I put a lot of load on it to test it. I'll try you're idea though but will test it first...
I think for my idea, the easiest way is to use the double fisherman's loop with a DWH threaded on.
Thanks, for all the great info !
J
Answered my own question. They should work too.
Thanks, J
I'm not familiar with Hammock Cogs, can you explain them or shoot a picture or link ?
thanks, J
Thanks for all the replies.
the reason I was asking was that I got some Dutch double whoopie hooks on whoopie slings. I got these to try out the spreader bar to hang two hammocks next to each...
What are the smallest 7/64 Amsteel continous loops that you can make ? I remember seeing a chart or something that lists recomended bury lengths and such but I can't remember where.
Any help...
Bump
check the prices on both of these
this is a seriously great deal !

I'm looking to thin out the collection a bit and don't need the ENO Doublenest & Guardian Bug net anymore. They are both in great condition and saw very light use. Selling as a pair only.
US...
The person who shall remain nameless ! tried to get in the hammock and try it out. He got in under the Fronkey and went to sit down on the hammock, but for some unknown reason, missed the hammock...
I wanted to give a shout out to Dutch and thank him for the awesome customer service !
Short story, I let someone try out my hammock(big mistake). Well his error resulted in my fronky bug net...
Look at the Molly Mac Gear, Insulated nylon sock with "SEEP". I have short arms and didn't want to try to slide a sock over and then cinch down the end. The SEEP, is like a big flap that allows...
I would take a good look at this option. I have a Dutch 12' knotty mods, ridgeline and Fronkey bugnet. I bought this after I got a Hammeck Envy S
Taking nothing away from the Envy S, which is...
Thats a good idea too ! probably better than what I was thinking.
Thanks, J
Yup, I knew it would need extra rigging, and might no exactly make a lot of sense, but if it works well enough, it's another option that I have. I will post up a couple pics once I try it.
...
I don't have them yet...............that is why I don't know !
Just wondering if anyone has tried it. When they come in, I will do some testing to see.
Thanks, J
I like having gear that can pull double duty and with that said, I'm wondering if my soon to be arriving socks could work as an UQP in warmer weather. I don't know if a sock would be big enough, but...
You might want to re post this in the weather protection section. But what kind of sock are you going to make ? If it is like the Dutch or Dream Hammock style, I would think you wouldn't want to...
I have a Vertex and also the Z liners. I'm gonna say get the Z liners, they really aren't that bad size wise, and the velcro makes them a perfect fit. They are not as warm as my HG Incubator 20,...
disregard the quote, wrong one, although I do have Fronkey bug net, and I like it !
