I am looking forward to making it back to the winter hang. I was there a few years ago and had an excellent time.

Any word on planning the 2024 winter hang?

I have not seen any updates. Is this hang still happening?

How about using a light-weight quilt liner instead of a quilt on warm nights in your half-wit?

Any updates on this hang?

Looks like you have a new video topic in your new trailer hitch stand

I think my chameleon came with little d rings down the sides. I will fiddle with the end clinches and the primary and secondary suspension some more to see if that helps.

I have a custom UGQ wide 0 degree Zeplin with a couple ounces of over stuff. It stays up it just shifts left or right a little

What do you use for quilt hooks on a Dutchwear Chameleon hammock? I find that a heavier winter under quilt could use a little extra help staying put.

After meeting some great folks and having a great time for my first winter hang last year I was hoping to go again this year, but work has other plans. Oh well there is always next year.

I have been very happy with the custom gear I have gotten from UGQ and from Simply Light Design. These cottage vendors are absolutely amazing.
I won't be able to make it this weekend. The creeping crud or the plague or some such illness is making the rounds in the family.
Made it home safe. A big thanks to Hickery for organizing the hang and thanks to everyone for the good food and excellent company. Looking forward to seeing you all again.
The link that WV posted for the mountain forecast shows cool temperatures with a light 15 to 40 mph breeze. I do hope our site is well sheltered from that light...
My limited three season experience tells me that it will likely be 5 to 15 degrees cooler and likewise windier than the forecasts from down in the valley at Troutdale, Volney, Marion, Mouth of Wilson...
Sounds like excellent advice to me
I just signed up. This will be my first winter outing. Looking forward to meeting everyone and for the opportunity to test out some new winter quilts.
The weather forecast of heavy wet snow mixed with ice does not look good considering the rough condition of the access road so I am going to reluctantly cancell.
Keeping an eye on the forecast. If the ice and deep snow stay away I am inclined to go. I will confirm later in the week when the forecast firms up.
I am interested but am not sure about my schedule yet
Count me in.
My order was for 0* quilts with an extra baffle in the Zeppelin under quilt to make it 4 inches wider. I added overstuff down in both the Bandit and Zepplin.
UGQ made the custom ordering easy. The...
Just received my new UGQ winter quilts and am very impressed. Looking forward to testing them out.
My UGQ winter quilts just got delivered. My initial thoughts were. "Damm that is an impressive amount of down. That should keep me warm in just about any weather."
I am looking forward to testing...
Jim I will see you in February
I have some winter quilts on order and have been looking for a good opportunity to test them out. I just signed up and am looking forward to meeting everyone.
Gotta love auto correct. "Asylum". Seems appropriate in my case.
Is it available in a left handed version?
Have you tried this stand in the wind with a tarp?
If you don't want to diy then look at this www.arrowhead-equipment.com/store/p312/Jarbidge_River_UnderQuilt.html

For some reason that story sent a chill down my spine. Scary creepy.

Dutch should have that new tarp ready to ship in two weeks

Dutch sells xenon wide fabric which can make a monster size tarp, twelve feet wide with an eleven, twelve or thirteen foot ridge line that I imagine would cover two hammocks even in a wind driven...
Mmmmm, gravy.

Thanks for all the great info. I am looking for a full length wide down winter quilt to wrap around some since I do toss and turn in my sleep and you wonderful folks pointed me to more than one...
Can anyone recommend a vendor that makes wide under quilts? I'm looking for 48 inches wide or maybe a little more.

I would be more impressed by a knife catching demonstration.

Friday night was my first ever night in a hammock and it was great. I had a good time all weekend. Thank you to 2Q, ZQ and Dutch for all the work putting together this hang and thanks to everyone...
Manpris. That's just funny, I don't care who you are.
I don't have that tarp, but Jared is very helpful, will answer all your questions, will customize your order, pays attention to the smallest details and offers amazingly fast turnaround on custom...
Signed up. This will be my first group hang. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
