I see your point. It would give more space inside for making meals etc, or just having slightly less crammed space when sitting out a down pour. Still...I love simplicity. A few less things to think...
hehe...it will probably be a bear story... ;-)
Good info. I do like the form of the Thunderfly with doors. And I will go for the lighter 20d Silpoly, also to avoid carry water along.
I think...
Thanks for very quick answers. It will probably be 20d then. I too don't babysit my gear, but I am not intentionally rough with it.
Actually I got a small tear on the bottom of my UQP when I...
Thanks Shug, Monty33 and FLTurtle, for your answers! Ive seen some of your videos Shug, keep it up! They are very educating and inspiring.
I do think this is the decision point. I have also seen...
So, time to put some more life (hopefully) into this thread.
I have a relatively heavy tarp today, 970 grams all lines included. I bought it at a time I didn't even consider hammocking. It has good...
I sure have some. But non are yet with a hammock. Hope that will change soon. Anyway I made this album collection from my latest couple of years to show some of the nature we got around where I am...
Nice to know more than I see the need for such a camp site skin. The one you got there looks really nice. Waterproof and all. I will have to look into what's available on my side of the world.
My DD XL skin is about 3,5 inches in diameter and will not fit the setup w Wookie, so it might be that the Hammock Bliss Sun Shield would fit nicely. I have to see if it is available in Europe.

Thanks for interesting read cougarmeat.
I too don't care so much to squish everything down to the smallest atom. Never really done that with my sleeping bag. I have usually just stuffed it in the...
Timing is not yet sat. Probably in two years due to Covid, etc. As much as I would absolutely enjoy that I will be traveling with my family and they are not into nature overnight stays the way I am....
Hi,
I saw the 18,5 liter pack at the website. And was initially thinking of getting it, but I will try my current 15 liter pack for a while to see how I like it and how a I like using the hammock...
Thanks TominMN,
keeping the down fresh is definitively something that needs to be done, but shaking every day is probably not necessary. I think I will do as you mention, just keep the Wookie...
I am a hammocking newbie and this is my first post so please bear with me ;-).
I got myself a Blackbird XLC with a Wookie 0F and the underquilt protector. All great. But I would like to know how...
Thank you! I certainly will. There are a lot of woodlands and relatively stony ground around here - and where the stones are not it can be wet, so the hammock will be a preferred way for me.
Thanks there! Yeah...I enjoyed the stay in the hammock for sure. Still a lot to learn.
Thank you. Its a nice safe place on earth for sure. As much as you want to get here I certainly want to go back west. We have been in some states in the US and there are always something new and...

Hi all and greetings from Scandinavia! Born and raised in Norway, but living in the neighbouring Sweden.
I am a complete hammocking newbie. I have enjoyed many tent nights, but newer tried...
