She would totally sleep under the hammock except for one problem. Unless I use a different stand there is a bar directly under me. A window bench extra deep would do the job ill see if I can find...
So, I was a full time hanger from 2012-2015. After I my dad passed away I got my dog and switched back to a bed so my monsterous dogger could lounge in the bed with me. Im to a point bow Id like to...
Well you can rest assured it worked really well.
I don't like the idea of the memory foam topper. Sounds hot, though I did use a Harbor freight moving blanket for my first under insulation in the hammock outside. I never found anything else that...
This is my indoor hanging setup. I mostly just put my hammock on the corners. Right now I really love my bed.

You could try my setup. I have a U of electrical conduit corner to corner where my bed is and I put the hammock suspension on the corners for best support. I used plumbers tape to keep it upright.
I have an ikea bed with drawers underneath. I am brainstorming the most effective way the cut the whole bed in half and stack the two on top of each other. So I can use the shelves. And move my setup...

Those a cool. The whole point of this design was to not be supported by the wall itself. Only part of the wall that comes into play is the small bit that is keeping the frame from falling over.
Thanks Waldo, that was my original concern as well. So far so good.
@owlsnest Thank you! after a few days now it looks like the corner brackets will be just fine.
@transuphrates The stand is attached to the wall with some plumbers tape to keep it from falling...
They are in stock in Carson city, NV
I put it together with 1 3/8" top rail pipe from Home Depot. The cast aluminum corners are my most worried part. I hope they don't fail I examined them for class and think I picked the best. The...
Well this time last year i got a dog. She is a lover, I switched back to a bed. I forgot the most important thing, how good of a nights sleep I would get in my hammock. Well 9 months after going back...
Hammeck is the one thank you.
I wasn't really looking at the ez up for the winter. I am not much of a cold weather camper. I am a Jeeper and an Ez up would be really cool to pack becasue it...
I just had a brain wave and need to ask if anyone has tried it.
the corner to corner measurement of a 10x10 canopy is 14'2" perfect for a hammock. With sides it would be the perfect vehicle to a...
I work for the parks department here in lake Tahoe. We do not allow Hammocks to hang because typically its busy and they are a tripping hazard. Same as slack lines. Plus there is no overnight camping...
from a parks professional point of view I have a pair of those I pull out at work occasionally. It does show plant stress fairly well. However if you are sort of a plant noob its difficult to tell...
I was thinking it might be nice for an indoor set up and with different materials it may be worth it. Hey just sharing don't shoot the messenger.
This is not mine! I saw it in the Instructables newsletter today and thought of you guys. Sorry if the owner already put this here.

From my point of view. I am a strict Stomach sleeper in beds. In my hammock I am a side sleeper. The transition between the two took a few days. I used to wake up at about 2am and move to my bed. but...

It was in my instructables newsletter from today. I thought for those folk with Canvas pods or anoraks it would be a cool DIY for you.
I have a about 431 days + a few weeks here or there before I switched full time. I found this site back in 2010 and haven't really turned back since. It makes for excellent conversation when the bed...
I just started reading your blog, and I must say you write very well for a 14 year old. Heck better than many people I know that are collage grads.
Good luck with your last 8 Saturdays!!!
My dad has two of these under the house he used to use back in the early 50's for boy scout camp outs.
I can say once you go in you won't go back. The only problem I have is I get too comfortable while I sleep and I get a kink in my side from not moving so I have to wake up and roll over.
I sleep...
I also remember someone making thicker sleeping mats out of plastic bags and sending them to Haiti as well.
I think making a complete set up of up cycle material is totally feasible.
That looks much better. Depending on the distance between the trees is how high you need to hang the suspension.
Look at this http://theultimatehang.com/hammock-hang-calculator.html it may help....
From what I read you are on the right track with the ridge line. The angle on your suspension is important but if you have the correct length ridgeline it makes fudging it easier. However if the...
