I made a new 11' hammock and I had bug netting that I was going to use for another hammock (shorter one). I wish I had a longer piece but I made it anyway. What do you guys think? Will this work? Should I keep it or get more material to make a new one? Or is there any way to fix it, make it work better?

Have fun, make a new bugnet and modify old bugnet.

You could always make yourself two cones with shock cord constricting the large end. From suspension to cover the gap.

I did the same thing (made a 10' hammock and bugnet). Then made an 11' hammock. I added some lightweight nylon to one end of the net so it fits. My bugnet has a drawstring on one end so I basically extended it and moved the drawstring.

That’s a good idea. I have a bug net from Hummingbird Hammocks that was a bit too short for one of my hammocks. I just cinched the drawstring where it was. It worked fine, but I wasn’t being attacked by hordes of bugs, either.Quote:
