My tarp has a pin hole that needs to be taped over. Should I put repair tape on the inside, outside or both sides? Also, I'm guessing for a pinhole, a 1" square of repair tape would be adequate? Thanks for the help!

If it were me I would do both sides but make the tape round circles. That way the edges should not fray like a square corner would.

I've fixed some tiny ember holes with a single piece stuck on the outside.
I cut 1" squares and then cut the corners off to make some octagons.
It has held up perfectly for a few years now.
If you do it on both sides do not make them the same size. Make sure one overlaps the other one.
