Hiking Coastal BC, Vancouver island

Hello, all

Looking to do some backpacking along the coast of BC, specifically Vancouver island. Maybe the west coast trail.

Some advice for those who have done trips like that with hammocks. There is lots of beach camping, but that means tents.
I have done some of the olympic peninsula, but sometimes the beach was 10-15 feet below the cliffs and hard to get up to the trees. I was lucky a few times and got some big driftwood that I used to hang, but that was just lucky that no one used it for a camp kitchen or something

I anticipate having to plan around the tides, do a few headland pass arounds, and get wet. But, where to sleep!!! Wound not want to have to use a tent. I know you all understand. My ground dwelling friends just say take a tent. Bah!
