úlfr (“wolf”) + héðinn (“fur cloak”), literally "a warrior clothed in wolfskin".
Úlfhéðinn (plural Úlfhéðnar) is an Old Norse term for a warrior with attributes parallel to those of a berserker , but with a lupine aspect rather than ursine; both terms refer to a special type of warrior capable of performing feats far beyond the abilities of normal people. Historically, this was attributed to possession by the spirit of an animal. Úlfhéðnar are mentioned in Vatnsdœla saga, Haraldskvæði and the Völsunga saga. The Ulfhednar were said to wear the pelt of a wolf upon their heads when they entered battle, similar to the berserkers use of bear pelts.

Murasaki is purple in Japanese. I spent some time in Japan and learned a little bit of the language. My favorite color is purple! Also the word just sounds pretty to me.

I’m one of those lucky folk who can’t really see well at all out of one of my eyes. When I would look at things or people when in bright light, I would squint with my bad eye to help focus with my good eye.
Well, you never will guess what nickname I earned because of it. :)
The nickname was also re-bestowed onto me on a local hiking trail this year so I’ve adopted it as my trail name.
Popeye’s character evolved to be a pretty good guy, so I can live with the trail name and try and live up to it.
Fun fact, I used to smoke a pipe and I do loves me some spinach.

Promotions was the name of one of many characters from an MMO I play. For whatever reason out of all my possible characters, "Promo" became the name that everyone called me. Its a good a name as any so I kept it.
The original name was just me using a throwaway name because the one I was going to use was taken. I happened to be watching Harvey Birdman at the time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcHTUZMQsbU

Valhamma is a legendary, mythical, great hall where campers who have died in hammock travel upon death.
I made this up but since it is now posted it on the internet, it now holds true for some.
