New to HF, DoeRamey

Hello all,

Previous lurker, new member. Excited to learn more.

I live in Senoia, GA (Home of Walking Dead) and was once an avid outdoors guy. Marriage and young kids delayed a lot of that, but now the sprouts are getting older I can start taking them out with me! Already have (1) Blood Mountain, GA trip under my belt with the boy and He loved it, so that's encouraging! (First, tried him in the backyard woods a few times with success)

Mostly going to be looking for gear recommendations/modification type posts, as well as any local/regional hangs and hikes.

Little about me, I used to work in endangered animal conservation (ungulates, rhinos, giraffes) in TX at ranches and zoos. Over the last 8 years (intro marriage) I began working in family business (hint: conservation is not a money-making field, but more of a passion field); but I still carry my passion for wildlife, animal conservation, and outdoorsmanship. I also

I have a lovely wife, two kiddos and two cats. I love DIY and carpentry and my wife and I have been restoring our house for a few years. I did a lot of carpentry work and reno's on the side as far as custom cabinets, kitchen islands, bathrooms, tables etc.; so that is an area I'm always passionate on discussing.

I got into the hammock game via watching Shug!
