Overnight hammocking near Juneau AK

After visiting Delaware this summer I've only got AK and Hawaii to visit to have seen all 50 states. Planning on a somewhat short trip(7 days) to Alaska maybe Juneau.

Any good hammocking spots near the city?

Any other suggestions for Alaska. We want to see glaciers and whale watching and Juneau has some good air rates at the moment. Not looking for long hikes just see some sights. Was considering Anchorage and down to Homer but I would rather save that for another trip when I have more time to spend.

I did an 11 day hike outside of Denali. I originally wanted to to hammock camp, but my in-laws (who live in Fairbanks) stressed to use a tent. It was either barren, or almost entirely spruce and alders. Really didn't see anything that would work for hammocks. I think there are a few posters on here from Alaska who do hammock...maybe they have some advice on how Juneau and the surrounding area would be.

Looks like it could work w/ a "one tree" setup.

My wife and I will be moving to Talkeetna next summer. There is quite a lot of public land with Birch trees for miles.
