ENO Roadie Hammock Stand Modification

I travel a lot for work and often use my hamoock as a rest stop, quick-nap and camp when I can. I never know if the camp site will be hammock-ready so I always carry my ENO Roadie Hammock Stand for use with my Hennessy. The wheelbase of my Ford Flex is 117" and the hammock rests about 10" above the ground. I have added new pole to the Roadie that is 12" longer to bring the tie-in point shoulder-height. This is a huge difference in the usability of the hammock and gives the user some flexibilty regarding the hang-angle. Love the new set-up.

we do same thing, i have ford truck we also use that for 24-hour Roadside Assistance, but want to change the whole setup need recomendation for that.

I'd love more details on this mod. What type and diameter pipe for example. I've always been interested in a setup like you describe.
