Hello from Ireland
Hi from Ireland. New to hammock camping and awaiting my DD Frontline to try it out.
Looking forward to getting off the ground and into a comfy hammock.
Like a lot of newbies here I found this forum thanks to Shug's videos on Youtube.
Also really interested in trying to make my own underquilt. Lots more research to do yet. Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Conor

Welcome!
What kind of places in Ireland do you camp at? I did the car-camp thing in Ireland (on my first of two trips there) for nearly a month and every single campground I stayed at was mostly grassy fields with few trees...so when I go back I might have to sleep in a (eww) tent again!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
The majority of the camping in Ireland is on commercial campsites and in Tents.
Wild camping is far less common........and not encouraged in our parks and forests:(
It was on a recent trip into the Wicklow mountains that I started to see that there's a lot more opportunities for hammocking than I realised.
I'm also addicted to Shug's YT videos......................They were the real spark for me to jump in..............So apologies in advance for any silly Q's that I ask.
PS - Thnx for the link Shug...............I'm not worthy!!!!!
