I'm looking to make a Hammock, but not sure what is the best fabric to use.
This is what I'm looking for:
10 - 11' long
50+" wide
I'll use continuous loops on the ends
I would like to stay a light weight as possible
I weigh ~200lbs.
Breathable and feel would be nice, but might be willing to sacrifice for being lighter weight.
Any suggestions?
You actually have several options available here, but to cut to the chase, I'd go to the source Dutchware Gear and Ripstopbytheroll both carry exclusive lightweight options for MYOG and make the task easy. Just drop them a line and expect rapid response, excellent fulfillment as well.

To add on to what Rolloff said, Ripstop by the Roll has a nice chart that shows suggested weight ratings for their various fabrics. I'm not aware of a similar chart for Dutch's fabrics, but you should be able to look at the options for his pre-made gathered end hammocks and extrapolate.
+1 on this suggestion. Choose a fabric where you've got some room at the top of the range. That is, if you're 200 lbs, don't expect a fabric with an upper limit of 200 to be the most comfortable and supportive. Here's a link to the fabric comparison page at Ripstop by the Roll:Quote:

Everyone has their favorite fabric—total individual taste—but mine, of the many I’ve tried, is Hexon 1.6. It just has the texture I like best and the amount of stretch I find most comfortable and it stands up well over time.
