Hi all, Tumbleweed here. I will host a March 2023 hammock hangout at Da Shack in central Wisconsin.

Thanks to the labors of many individuals we have an abundance of firewood to burn, and you could help us out.

We will have parking at the homestead, and may snowshoe, pull a sled / toboggan (1/2 mile), depending on snow conditions. Some years we can drive up to da shack. Hopefully... Lots of trees and clearings to hang out in/near.

Homestead is located about one mile west of the Iola Winter Sports Club grounds. Driving directions: From Iola, WI, take hwy 45 north to hwy MM . Go west on MM till you go PAST the Iola Sports Club grounds. About 1 mile west is hwy T. Turn north on hwy T for about 1/2 mile. Just off highway T on the east side of hwy T is our homestead / driveway. See the New Hope Segment sign for the Ice Age Trail on the west side of hwy T.

Da Shack hangs are noted for the abundance and diversity of foods. You will not go hungry here. Bring something to share if you want.

The fire in da shack and the bonfire outside do not go out till noon Sunday, and we have gear to share as needed.

We'll be there! DRIVING to Da Shack, I'm too lazy to pull a pull!! Tho I could be persuaded to pull a civic.....with a real vehicle that ain't a lawnmower:lol::scared::lol:

Watertooer- I'm not feeling the Honda Civic love-a-thon from Goobie. I don't know about you, but I just rolled 150k on my 2007!

Yea, I think I've passed 180k with my 2015 - which is about the dollar amount that Mr. Goobie-Jeepie spends per year trying to keep his junk off the permanent concrete blocks in his driveway. But not to worry. I'll be there parked next to the back door just to make the lazy wart walk farther. :jj:

Will need the time away for the crazy sh.. at work. Not scared of the pulk sled hike in if needed.

My daughter and I will be there.

I plan to be there for Friday night festivities.

Plan on being there Friday night with the wife. Will hot tent it as I want to make sure she will come in the future.
