FS: Para-Cord
I bought a 1200' roll of this stuff thinking it was the military type parachute cord. It isn't. Not too sure about this stuff, but it is 1/8" in diameter has what appears to be a nylon core. Holds knots well, is very grippy. Weighs about 6 grams per yard.
3 cents per foot plus actual shipping costs. I can ship first class mail for pretty cheap.

Does this have a weight rating? Curious how close to 550 paracord it is.
-
No, nothing on the label at all. It isn't close at all to paracord. This is much more abrasive than paracord. Also, I don't think you can remove the inner strands on this stuff.
Edit: I just tried it and you can remove the inner core. There are 8 external strands of finer woven threads surrounding the inner core.

I think that is the stuff duck hunters use for the weights on their decoys. It is pretty good stuff, it just isn't paracord.

Imagine my disappointment when I received this thinking I was getting 1200' of paracord!
