I am in the market for a wide pad for my DL Bridge Hammock, and was a little overwhelmed by the choices (UQ shopping seems easy by comparison :) ) Anywhoo, made this chart

Lots of info in that chart. I would add two columns, one for how thick is the pad ( or is that what you are calling depth) ( and note if it has to be inflated or not ) and how long and wide.
Nice chart. Length and width would be nice. Since you mention ultralight in your blog post, you might take a look at Kymit also. My new Inertia X Wave is 10.5oz and very affordable.
Thanks for the input. I do have the thickness on the chart (under depth)...I also edited my blog post to include the standard length of a regular (or medium) pad is 72", the standard length of the wider pads is also long at 77", except for the Exped MW is a shorter pad that is also wide.Quote:

I tried an old Thermarest Camp Pad (flat construction, no baffles/ridges) in my WBRR and DIY bridges and found that it flattened the lay side to side and removed the small amount of shoulder lifting by these hammocks.
I thought this was wonderful, but wanted a lighter pad and due to a report of another HF member, I bought an Exped Synmat UL LW. This pad has baffles that run end to end and the outer two channels are larger/taller than the rest. The result is that the larger outer tubes lift my shoulders and the pad does not provide near the comfort (for me) that the flat TR does.
If I were to try another pad, it would be flat or have channels that ran left to right instead of lengthwise.
Comfort is a very individual thing.
