Northern California Trails Suggestions

Howdy all, sorry i haven’t been as active the past few months, life kinda got in the way. I miss catching up on all the dialog with everyone.

Anyhoooo

My daughter just started college clear across the country in northern CA. I’m planning to go and see her next spring an considering using my visit as an excuse to hit experience some of the hiking out near Sacramento. I know the PCT and Yosemite are close by, but I don’t know anything about permits or what conditions may be in March, so I’m trying to find some trails that I can hit for two to three nights without permits or red tape and also not terribly crowded. Hammock friendly are preferred (duh), but not required.

Any suggestions?
