I hear that. One of the blessings of being in the lowlands on this side of the Cascades for hammock camping, as I'm sure you know, are the mild wintertime lows. Where I am there are fewer than 100 calendar days per yer with overnight lows below 40F and only about 20 nights with lows below freezing. I camp in places that are colder than that in the winter, of course, but not as cold as where you are. Camping where Shug camps would terrify me -- which is good, because if it didn't it would bankrupt me buying all that gear to, you know, NOT DIE!

Man your in a good spot! Here this past winter its always been under 30's majority of the time and in teens for several weeks. I was not ready for that and after 2 weeks of CBS this year I am spending the cash for good insulation.
Shugs a trooper! Seems he isn't affraid of the below zero camping. Frozen eyebrows lol. He really has his setup dialed in for his area.
Just FYI
I may be doing the poncho liner wring but it was good until low 40's then just didn't seem to help at all. Used a emergency blanket between it and the hammock and helped a but but still wasn't good fir 20 degree weather. I had a DD 4x4 fully enclosed packed with snow on all sides and still got super cold!
Best wishes for years of happy camping with your new tarp.
