Hi gang, Glad you enjoyed the first ever "Da Shack" Hang. I enjoyed hosting. Lots of good conversations and gear assessments / food / drinks / laughter / etc.
Someone left a collapsible chair in a black bag on the south porch. Someone left a collapsible hot-dog fork in da shack. PM or call me regarding this.
How about a deep cold "pulk in" from the homestead to a location 1/4 mile further east. Would need to park at the homestead / Ski Club grounds / carpool. Spring water, tire-rim woodburner. I know we can go another 20 degrees colder without severe issues. I had 91 degrees inside my TQ. Just a thought!
count me in
Yes and bring my converted hanger friend.
Thanks for hosting Tumbleweed. I had a great time, and learned a few new tricks. A "pulk in" sounds like fun...count me in
Definitely Count me in
First off, THANK YOU!! Tumbleweed for hosting the lot of us. A great time was had, as always in good company! Learned a bunch, shared a little, met a bunch of great new people, and ate way too much incredible food. Thanks to all the cooks
Second, I think another 20° colder may be a bit optimisticIMG_20151206_080338127.jpg That, or I need a new thermometer
A pulk in sounds like a great idea, I'm in. Unfortunately, at this point in time, those temps would mean it would just be me
Tumble, a pulk in sounds awesome. Unfortunately as of now I don't have a pulk, or snowshoes, but if there's broken trails I think I could hoof it in. Otherwise, I hate to put ideas in your head, but you could do a shack hang 2.0? Nice to know there's a bailout ready in the event a person's gear fails them. I'd like to know my gear can work as intended before I commit to the MN butt hang in January. I'll watch for any info, thanks again.

This was my best car camping experience! The woods were great, the food was amazing, the people were the cream of the crop! I had so much fun and seeing Tumbleweeds brain working overtime on a few magic tricks still makes me giggle. Thanks for hosting and I can't wait to visit you again. Goobie, thanks for getting all my crap I left behind. It was nice chatting with you bibs, swung, Stringbean, Goobie, Tumble, Gallo, Mark, plough jogger and son, and Annie. I missed ya Skwatupu, but "you won't like it".
Get lost in the woods and find yourself again. A vacation,to me, is working with your hands and surviving because of the fruits of your labor. In the business world I teach;in the natural world I learn.
