"If there is a problem duct tape"
About a dozen of us are hanging this weekend. Forecast is high in the low 90s, low in the low 70s. Should be good sleeping weather. I will be using my down quilts, too.

Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
You might try a dual powered usb/battery powered fan. I just bought one ($12) but i would not say it is that small (5 inches). I was disappointed in that the USB cable is proprietary. I will skip the aa batteries and just use an USB power source.

I like to hang without an UQ. Just went last weekend. Gotta admit daytime temps were hot. Still fun though. A little sweat never hurt me.
No underquilt or top quilt makes for a cool night sleep at 78. Or just not as hot. Doesn't make for pleasant hiking though.
Have hung every weekend since getting over the flu post the Savage Gulf hike-n-hang. Have used an underquilt every time and worn wool head to toe. When I look where we were I don't think after March we were ever under 3000 feet when hanging. Thank God for altitude. This coming weekend the hike begins at 4000 feet
I wish I had that problem! It's been unusually cool this year, with daytime temps barely hitting what you guys are describing for night temps! For example, our warmest day is going to be Sunday, at 24C (75F), that night 12C (54F)
Usually having that great big air conditioner called Lake Superior at our doorstep in the summer is welcome relief, but not this year.

In my area it is always a good night to sleep out. Days can and do get hot with high humidity, making it a hot process to hike, but come sundown temps begin to cool off and by morning top cover can feel good. I go whenever someone comes by and says "let's go".
In the deep south (I can speak for FL) give it up end of May early June and start up again in October-November.
