My wife and I double hang with only a 30.5" spreader bar. Our shoulders basically touch. We have not had any uq issues at all.

Interesting. I'll be keeping an eye on this. My wife and I have considered a Clark 2 person, but this looks very promising! Great job and looking forward to seeing the final product!
Simply another reason to love the DH Raven. Also looks great for those who have the conundrum about how to hang with the 70lbs. pooch.

New design maybe??? We say new design YES!!!. She hasn't been out of hers since I set it up. Had to figure out how to nest them (pretty self explanatory once you see what zippers and pulls line up) with one hammock occupied!
Very nicely done Smurfs, thank you!!
Oh, and the dogs approve too
You should be happy, I think it's a well thought out design. Figured out the snaps after I zipped them together and got in, our son saw the gaps while snugging up the shock cord. I intentionally left all the snaps undone when the first one was set up.
Suspension system?? Interested to see what you come up with. If you need any help testing........

... evidently says, don't be getting any ideas big boy ...
not gonna sell many "connected" hammocks that way.
I go into the woods to get some free time from the spouse. Why you have to design something that would ruin my fun ;-)
I think this is a great idea. I'm a dad and I have two young kids who love camping. When I go with them however I have to tent because they want to be with me (they get nervous being alone up in Algonquin Park without dad at arms reach at night). They both love hanging out in my hammock and my son has expressed an interest in using my current ENO when I upgrade to my Dream Hammock in the near future. So for someone like me, a set-up like this would make it possible to hammock on trips while allowing my kids to feel safe and close to their dad...
