I'm thinking of bringing my fire pit grill (it has legs and is off the ground) so that I can have a fire. It would appear that under the above post from the Alabama Forestry Website, it would be legal. Thoughts ???

I hate it when people accuse me of lolly gagging when I'm clearly dilly dallying...
Just spoke to a lady at the ranger's office. Allowed: coleman stove, backpacking stove, gas grills are allowed if it has a lid... Not Allowed: anything wood burning and No charcoal. Nothing that would produce an ember... She said to call back at the end of the week because it may become more strict .
I will have the following I am bringing with me to use in North Georgia next week. If needed, we can use any or all at Wolfpen: 1 Coleman stove, 1 cooking table, 1 folding table, 1 12X12 canopy, and 1 five gallon water container. We can also use the stove in the camper. I feel very strongly that we need to protect our forest. Ashley
I imagine they will take advantage of the sunny spots to warm up since the nights are getting cool now. My concern is how to do this as a day hike, not knowing how rugged the terrain actually is. Do we park a car at Kinlock Falls, start at Randolph TH and hike all the way through?

We could do Randolpf to Kinlock, or the gated road just past Randolph and drop down at the private property and out to Kinlock, or 210A would bring us in near Parker falls the back way and out to Kinlock. I think some could do this as a day hike. Since we will probably have more than 10 wanting to hike, we could split into groups.

We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.
I just picked up 2 cans of pinto beans, 2- 14.5oz bags of scoops and 90 foam plates (wasn't sure how many we needed) tonight.
